Transporter Room 3: The Star Trek Podcast

Four episodes into Star Trek: Picard, and Space Legolas is finally here. This week, we review "Absolute Candor" with nothing less than what the episode's title promises. More Reader Mailbag is in store as well, as we try to figure out why Synths are bad but EMHs are good. And, obviously, another Red Shirt beams down. (Don't lose your heads over it -- pun extremely intended). 

"The End Is the Beginning" is a fitting title for Star Trek: Picard's third episode, as it starts with Picard's Starfleet resignation and ends with his first deep space mission in 14 years.

This time out we review "Maps and Legends," an uneven episode full of backstory, Borg, Romulans and Picard playing Space Matlock. Oh, and we also take a quick side trip to hear all about Phil’s visit to the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour!

Patrick Stewart is back as Jean-Luc Picard, after an 18-year absence. It's the first time since 1994 that Picard has been on television, and we got to see the first Star Trek: Picard episode on the big screen (yay!). So, how was it? We have some thoughts...

This week, we look back on his career and one of his best/most underrated hours, "Blood Oath."
