Paul Juliano and Phil Juliano
10/03/2022 Duración: 31minWhen the Twin Rivers company of Rhode Island bought Bally’s Atlantic City in April 2020, it changed the entire company. Already a fast-growing gaming company, the purchase of Bally’s, and a few months later, the brand Bally’s, it gave Twin Rivers classic gaming identity and since then the company has rebranded all of its casinos. Helping to make that happen are the father-son team of Phil Juliano, Bally’s executive vice president, casino operations and chief marketing officer, and Paul Juliano, the senior vice president of operations. While the Bally’s Atlantic City buy was important, the property required a complete renovation, something that Phil says will happen by Memorial Day. Paul, meanwhile, outlines the changes in Atlantic City and across the Bally’s portfolio of properties. They spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros via Zoom in late February.

Carlin and Matthew Demchyk, the senior vice president and chief investment officer for GLPI, explain why REITs make a lot of sense in the gaming business and why the potential for gaming REITs is still growing. Cynthia Kiser Murphey

She was appointed in October 2021 as the first woman to chair the Nevada Gaming Commission. The commission is the final step in the regulatory process whether it’s licensing, regulations or sanctions. The Nevada Gaming Control Board makes recommendations that the commission can either affirm or deny. Togliatti says she’s use her judicial experience and rely on the staff of the control board to educate her on the sometimes complicated technology of gaming. But it’s a new division focused on sportsbetting has brought in some cutting-edge technology with the purchase of Coolbet, a European B2B and B2C company.
