The group is down in California wrapping up the first leg of their tour. We spoke about the advent of MTV and music videos, getting back together with Yes for the first time in over 30 years, their current record “Fly From Here” and a lot more.

This week SMI Radio's Greg Roth talks to actor, director and producer Colin Hanks about the documentary film project, "All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records." Colin talks about what Tower Records meant to him, the fundraising process for this project, as well as the history and legacy of one of most iconic music stores in music history. Colin also shares his passion for music and what is driving him to make this film.

SMI Radio's Greg Roth features interviews and music with Michael Fitzpatrick (Fitz and The Tantrums), John Popper (Blues Traveler), and members from Perry Acker. One of TV’s hottest new shows, “The Voice” on NBC, is garnering national attention for northwest singer/ songwriter Vicci Martinez. You can watch her compete for the top spot live on Tuesday, June 7th. But before heading off to Los Angeles, Vicci performed a sold-out show at Jazz Bones in Tacoma, Washington. SMI Radio’s Greg Roth caught up with Vicci before she went on. In this week’s show, they talk about “The Voice,” her music, and her inspirations – and sample selected cuts from her “Live From Jazzbones” CD.

SMI Radio's Greg Roth attended Synergia Northwest 2011 rehearsals the weekend before Synergia Northwest returns for the second year. This year's show takes place in Seattle, AKA The Emerald City this Friday, May 6th at The Moore Theater. Roth features behind the scenes interviews as well as music from Synergia NW performers: Tennis Pro, the original rhythm section from Heart, drummer Michael Derosier and bassist Steve Fossen. Also, Roth interviews members of Yes and John Lennon drummer Alan White and his band White, Reek Havok, VP Music Aid Northwest,drummer Brendan Hill from Blues Traveler, Professor of Music at Central Washington University, Dr. Bret Smith and Michael McMorrow the music and creative director of Synergia Northwest.

SMI Radio's Greg Roth got together with the boys a couple of months ago, backstage at Seattle's Hard Rock Cafe prior to the band embarking on a Southwest tour. The band talks about their music, their influences and what the future holds for this talented group of artists. In addition SMI Radio features several cuts of off the groups debut LP, "Friends of the Old Mill"

SMI Radio's Greg Roth sat down with John Wicks and Fitz from "Fitz and The Tantrums" prior to their show at the Crocodile Cafe, Tuesday, November 9th. The group was in town to play some live shows and promote it's news LP, "Pickin Up The Pieces." from Dangerbird Records. The band is steadily building a huge national following based on the strength of their catchy single, "Money Grabber" Roth talked about the bands influences, inspirations, creative process and their recent appearance on "Live From Darryl's House.

In our most recent episode of SMI Radio is the most ambitious thus far. The show clocks in at 1 hour and 30 minutes. This episode features interviews with KMTT, The Mountain's Music Director, and Shawn Stewart. Greg Roth speaks with Shawn about the artists that she was the most excited to see at Bumbershoot. In addition, Shawn talked about the forthcoming release of Live on the Mountain Music Lounge CD coming out this November.
