This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we decided that since everyone is heading back to school, it only seems right to do a show with movies themed around schools. The first film we watched this week is the 1998 release titled The Faculty. A pretty bizarre movie revolving around a group of teens who suspect their teachers are aliens. The second movie is a classic werewolf film that many horror fans love, Ginger Snaps, released in 2001. We got the chance to sit down and interview Director Kevin Sluder about his new horror short Heartless.  Heartless is based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" and deals with an overlooked associate who struggles to complete a corporate presentation as a horrific secret gnaws at her conscience. This short only has about a 12 minute run time and when we say it makes you question everything, it really makes you question the events taking place until the very end. This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, Dylan choose the movies that followed a certain theme. That theme being individuals moving into a new home and then proceeding to then get haunted by ghost. He came up with this because Mike, Pat, and Jorge are moving into new places. The first movie up for discussion is Thi13ten Ghost, released on October 26, 2001 and directed by Steve Beck. You know the guy who guy us that sick intro in Ghost Ship. Thir13en Ghost is an ultimate classic, because of the in depth background story each ghost has and the house they are trapped in.  The second movie was The Haunting in Connecticut, released back in 2009 and we have to say this was a hard watch. Though it has really cool flashback story points, the overall feel of this movie is lost. An abundance of jump scares and a rushed story. American Psycho starring Christian Bale, is a movie that will forever be horror junkies must watch list. From its complex story line, to the narration by Christian himself, viewers can find themselves lost in the rabbit hole if they're not paying attention. Crazy kill scenes and the best soundtrack. American Psycho 2: All American Girl, is probably the worst movie we've seen and that's saying something. From the bad writing, acting, plot, and everything else. This movie is just a pathetic attempt of a studio trying to make some money on by slapping a title from a hit movie and claiming its a sequel. American Mary is a pretty dark movie. The main character goes through traumatic event, and then finds herself seeking revenge on the man who did it. Though it portrays a bad view of the world of body modifications, this movie does have some cool elements. Unfortuna
