Lyra meets Will and immediately puts him in an armbar! They become allies and explore the adult free city and learn about something called, "Spectres" that may explain where all the grown-ups are. Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter tortures a captured witch to get answers and angles herself to stay in power with the Magisterium. In this final section of book two, Kendria and Travis complete the dungeon quest along with our MC to unlock his second power. In the process Sion was forced to relive his worst memory over and over again to find answers and help the party move on. We get a very compelling backstory with it that fills in Sion's personality for the readers. Richter plays the part of dutiful best friend while also tricking an angel and a succubus into helping him. We also find out which power Richter decides to unlock! A voicemail is answered and speculation of Yoshi's parentage runs rampant.
