One of Ghibli's iconic films, there was a lot to talk about this time. So much to discuss that we actually had to edit a bunch out because it would just be too long. This 1998 remake was done after Studio AIC obtained full rights to the Bubblegum Crisis property, and now they get to try to tell a complete story. As big fans of the original OVA series, it's hard not to compare the two, but we sure find the good kinds of comparisons and contrasts. From a different viewpoint character, much different music, and different story twists, it's also cool seeing what stayed the same for the Knight Sabers in both versions.
