They then travel east to the story of Wiccademous and her path of torture before settling on Hog Island and the lost settlement that has now been saddled with a witchy story to explain the ghosts seen there. Can there be a place in Florida where legendary cryptids and legendary ghosts come out together to play? If so, it seems like a great place to bring Tripping on Legends with Kids to get the full picture of what might be inspiring the haunted folklore in Sarasota. Little children, a mysterious man, and a pukwudgie who looks a bit like a gator. Whatever is running through the stacks at the Astor Library isn’t hiding from anyone. Some of the spirits even like to go home with you. Christopher Balzano and Natalie Crist travel back over the St. John's River to take another look at what might be haunting the library in Astor. It was a long weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida, as Christopher Balzano and Natalie Crist headed across the dreaded Skyway Bridge to Fort Desoto to follow up on the haunted legends there. Natalie takes to the water to try and hook the ghost of the Romantic Trout Fisherman. While she’s putting her moves on the spirit world, Balzano takes to the battery of the fort to check out rumors of footsteps and shadows. As the sun sets on the base, they venture to the outskirts and ruins of the old base to try and connect with the dozens who have died of yellow fever and are said to still walk the grounds, including a mother rumored to be heard crying for her dead children.
