Tonight we’re chatting with Grady Hendrix, author of the new book The Final Girl Support Group. Hendrix is an award-winning novelist and screenwriter. His new book The Final Girl Support Group” is being adapted as a forthcoming series, his previous, the New York Times Best Selling novel The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires, was optioned for series adaptation by Amazon Studios following a ten buyer bidding war. There’s a lot more, he’s the author of the Bram Stoker Award-winning nonfiction book, Paperbacks from Hell, a history of the horror paperback boom of the ’70s and ’80s. I know few authors who are as literate on their own genre, it’s truly humbling.

This week we continue our Summer 2021 Satanic Panic series with the 1976 film To the Devil a Daughter, sometimes called CHILD OF SATAN.To the Devil...a Daughter is a 1976 British-West German horror film directed by Peter Sykes, produced by Hammer Film Productions and Terra Filmkunst, and starring Richard Widmark, Christopher Lee, Honor Blackman, Nastassja Kinski and Denholm Elliott. It is based on the 1953 novel of the same name by Dennis Wheatley. It was the final Hammer production to feature Christopher Lee until The Resident in 2011. The Manster) (1959) and The Vikings (1958), and as the second feature on a double bill with Doctor Blood's Coffin (1961) in the US. The film is set in a small English village at the turn of the 20th century. It tells the story of Atheris (Susan Travers), a young woman who has the power to transform from human to cobra, and the Scotland Yard detective (John McCarthy) sent to investigate a series of deaths, unusual because all the victims died after being bitten by snakes that are not native to the UK.
