When tonight’s guest, Rusty, was 20, he and a friend of his went fishing, on a lake in the West Memphis area of Arkansas, one evening. It was an unseasonable hot night and they were fishing from a boat. All of a sudden, they heard a rustling noise coming from the shore, just a matter of yards away. One day, in 2007, while he was going for a walk with a friend, his friend asked him if he had heard about a family seeing a Sasquatch close to where they were walking. Tonight’s guest, Donna Copas, has being interacting with Sasquatch since she was 6 years old. Donna doesn’t call them Sasquatch, however. She calls them the Watchers, due to her being of Shawnee descent. You see, when Donna was only 6 years old, her dad took her into the woods with him, to dig for yellow root. Her dad was always heading into the woods to harvest ginseng, yellow root, and other things. That day, after digging up some yellow root, her dad stood up, walked over to a nearby stump, and pulled out some tobacco. He then proceeded to put the tobacco on the stump and walked away from the stump. Not long after he did that, Donna saw a huge figure stand up, close to the stump and walk over to it, to retrieve the tobacco. Joining Titus and his mother was one of Titus’ siblings. Even though his mother and that sibling were merely 50 feet away from him, when he saw the Sasquatch, calling out to them never crossed his mind. Tonight’s guest, Darrell Adams, moved to Oregon in 2011, after retiring from his union construction job. Darrell wasn’t interested in Sasquatch, but his brother has been fascinated with them for a long time. After finding out that Darrell had moved to Oregon, his brother asked him to keep an eye out for evidence of Sasquatch activity. After his brother let him know what to look for, he found a lot of evidence that Sasquatch actually were in the areas he was hunting in. Until he started finding evidence that they were in the area, Darrell didn’t even believe in their existence. After finding all of the evidence he started to find, however, he had a paradigm shift. At that point, he became a believer. It wasn’t long after that that he became a knower, though. He had his first sighting. As he found out, however, there’s a difference between hoping to see a Sasquatch and being ready to see one. That’s a lesson he learned the hard way, in Salt Fork State Park, in Ohio. Tonight’s guest, Kenneth Medsker, is the founder of the Montana Idaho Bigfoot Research Group and he authored a book called “My Personal Quest to Understand Bigfoot.” Kenneth had his first Sasquatch sighting in 1978 and that experience is what triggered Kenneth’s desire to find out as much as he possibly could about Sasquatch. A large part of what he knows about the woods is due, in large part, to the things his dad taught him when he was a kid. Due to how much he thought he knew about the woods, Roger used to love venturing deep into the woods any chance he got. Then, one day, he had an experience that changed all that. After having that experience, his view of the woods, and how safe he was in them, changed so much, he stopped doing a lot of the things in the woods he used to do without a second thought.
