Barry Allen and his daughter Nora travel back in time in order to "gather some key necessities" to stop Cicada. Their first stop takes them to Barry's final battle against Savitar, but they are pursued by a Time Wraith. Barry tells Nora to get a piece of Savitar's armour when it is destroyed, while he distracts the Time Wraith. Nora sees the armour get destroyed and retrieves a piece of it, but also sees Iris shoot Savitar Barry. They travel next to when Zoom steals Barry's speed to retrieve the necessary technology to process it. Harry Wells almost destroys the tech in frustration, but Barry manages to distract him, suggesting that they can find his daughter by tracking her frequency. Zoom discovers Barry and Nora, and gives chase before he is stopped by the Time Wraith, however the tech is damaged. Barry and Nora end up on the day that Barry previously travelled to, and ask HGEobard to help fix the tech, reminding him that if he doesn't, events won't go correctly and he will neve

The team attempt to discover Cicada's identity by visiting his niece in the hospital. Barry and Nora attempt to stop a lightning disaster, but Barry is struck and almost dies before Nora is able to restart his heart. Worried about the future, Nora tells Barry that one way to ensure he never disappears is to quit being the Flash now. The team encounters Joss Mardon, the daughter of Mark Mardon, who has a similar staff that she uses to control the weather. Barry and Nora try to confront her, with Iris using a hologram to simulate Mardon being there, but Joss tries to kill him for being neglectful. Eventually, Joss tries to attack an airport and creates a lightning tornado. Nora brings Barry Mardon's wand which Barry uses to absorb Joss' lightning and subdue her. Meanwhile, Caitlin, Cisco and Sherloque choose not to join the West Allens for Thanksgiving, before being convinced to join by Killer Frost. Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin find her father Thomas and take him to Star Labs. Meanwhile, Ralph and Cecile continue their investigation on Cicada's identity by looking into a FEMA camp set up after the satellite exploded. Sherloque, Iris and Nora choose another route by looking for the satellite’s core. Caitlin and Thomas go on a walk to reconnect but are interrupted when Thomas faints and his arm starts turning into ice. Caitlin takes her father back to Star Labs where he reveals to her the origin of her powers. Cisco, suspicious of Caitlin’s father’s story, teleports back to Thomas' base where he discovers evidence that Thomas isn't Caitlin's real father. Caitlin refuses to believe Cisco until she sees the truth about her father with her own eyes when Thomas’ alter ego "Icicle" takes over. Just as Team Flash confront Thomas, Killer Frost returns and defeats Icicle. FInally, it is revealed that DeVoe used Dominic Lanse/Brainstorm's powers to mentally block Caitlin from summoning Kill

Two weeks later, Barry and Nora go to stop two criminals on motorcycles, with Iris getting frustrated when Nora cuts her coms. Nora reveals that in the future, Iris is always nagging her and never allows her to ask questions about her past. Nora goes to spend some time with Cecile, finding out more about Iris from her. A new meta later called Rag Doll attacks an architect downtown and destroys his office but the Flash is able to save him. Iris and Barry try to investigate the new meta, but the Barry gets captured by Rag Doll and is held hostage on a rooftop with power dampening cuffs. Ralph and Iris go to save Barry, with Iris jumping off the building herself to remove Barry's cuffs, allowing him to save them. Ralph swallows Rag Doll whole and jumps off the building before becoming an airbag to land safely. Iris tells Nora nothing is off limits with her, and the two start to grow closer. Meanwhile, Cisco and Caitlin investigate Caitlin’s father and track him to a University office. Finally, Cisco figures

The team recruits Harrison Sherloque Wells to help them catch Cicada, who Nora reveals is unstoppable in the future. Caitlin and Ralph confront Caitlin's mother, who denies forging her husband's death certificate. Sherloque pinpoints Cicada as David Hersch, but is proven to be wrong when Cicada attacks Joe, looking for Vibe. He reveals that on 37 other Earths, Cicada has the identity of Hersch. As a result of Nora's tampering with the timeline, however, his identity on Earth-1 is different. Additionally, his reign of terror has begun earlier than expected. Caitlin and Ralph break into her mother's files, where they find a suicide note from her father. After Cisco shows up, Cicada stabs him, breaking his arm. Barry arrives, but is easily defeated. After Nora enacts her plan to drive Cicada off, it seems as if Cisco has been killed. It is revealed that Cisco used a breach machine instead of his hands to escape. With the public and Cicada believing that Vibe is dead, Sherloque agrees to stay and

Barry struggles to train the overeager Nora, who enlists herself as a CSI intern in order to spend time with her father, much to Iris's discomfort. Meanwhile, Caitlin and Ralph try to help Cisco in the aftermath of his breakup with Gypsy, and Cecile loses her telepathy and struggles to connect with her child. Team Flash meet Nora, Barry and Iris' daughter from the future. While Iris seems happy to see her, Barry is concerned that Nora could alter history by interacting with her parents younger selves. The Team encounter a new metahuman named Gridlock, who has the ability to harness kinetic energy. During the encounter, Barry suits up in a variety of his previous costumes. When Barry tries to send Nora home, Wally reveals to them that Nora's blood is saturated with negative tachyons, which react with the Speed Force preventing her from time travelling. Barry asks Nora what happens to him in the future, with Nora revealing he never returned after the crisis and she has lived her entire life with her mom. Gridlock causes the plane he is on to fall out of the sky, so Barry, Nora, Wally and Cisco go to stop it. Before they leave, Nora gives Barry his signature ring that contains a brand new suit. Consider this part 1 of our Finale discussion. Join us next week for a LIVE call in episode of Flash TV Talk! After the Enlightenment begins, Marlize joins Team Flash as Cecile goes into labor. Marlize uses Cecile's powers to send Barry into DeVoe's consciousness to find the good left in him. Barry finds Ralph alive in DeVoe's consciousness and together they find the "good" DeVoe dead. DeVoe attempts to keep them from reaching the nexus of his mind, as he follows Team Flash to a pocket dimension. In his consciousness, DeVoe multiplies himself to fight Barry and Ralph as he takes down Team Flash. Barry and Ralph make it to the nexus; Barry wakes up in the real world and Ralph reclaims his body just as DeVoe was going to kill Cecile. He reappears, though, as a hologram through his chair until Marlize destroys it. Barry, Cisco and Ralph shield civilians from the falling satellites and the mysterious girl helps Barry destroy the last one. Harry's brain resets but is mostly restored by Marl
