It's Super Effective: A Pokémon Podcast

Time to battle the most unforgettable Gym Leader in all the games, Byron. Greg and Steve arrive in Canalave City to battle our rival, Byron, and to hear an explosion that hurts the Magikarp. A shorter episode as pacing here really picks up after getting our 5th Gym Badge and moving to the 6th. 

Cynthia arrives to tell us about fog and Psyduck. Greg and Steve talk about the bomb that the game casual throws at us. Mechanic changes with the fog and the marker on the map make things a bit easier to navigate to get back to Hearthome City for our 5th Gym Badge.

After defeating Veilstone City, we make our way to Crasher Wake and the swamp land. Here we find the trophy garden, the safari zone, and all the rich kids on the beach. While these two Gym Leaders are very close together, this part of the game seems like there is so many trainers and routes packed in for two gyms to share similar levels.  

After battling 50+ trainers and Geodude, we head to get our third badge from Veilstone City! We talk about following Pokémon, character customization, and some more comparisons to older Pokémon games. No Irene this episode, but we still get the game covered between Greg and Steve. 

We head through Eterna Forest, talk about how HMs are "fixed," and then battle Gardenia for our second badge! More comparing to other remakes, more thoughts on how the movement feels, and feelings on the first couple hours of this "faithful remake!" "Sincerely, Sinnoh" is our first impressions from Gym to Gym. 

Greg, Steve, and Irene talk about the beginning of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. We talk about controls, graphics, how the game feels. We share thoughts on our original experience of the games, on top of, our comparison to other remakes. This series will follow our experiences from gym to gym. 

We traveled all the way to St. Louis for an IRL Pokémon GO Safari Zone. Pokémon GO also is bringing a Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event to the game to celebrate the release of these games. Pokémon UNITE gets a new battle pass and fixes Greedent. We get a new trailer showing off more new things in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl with a week before release. Harry Potter: Wizard's Unite is shutting down soon. This leads to speculation and concern in the Pokémon GO community and odd timing with the Pikmin Bloom launch. Pokémon Trading Card Game Live, which was just announced a couple months ago, is now delayed until 2022. Pokémon UNITE is in a bad spot. We learn about the new Underground, Hideaways, Super Contents, Union Rooms, and more as that game approaches this November.
