After beating Cork City on Friday night with a goal that any centre forward would be proud of, Ronan Boyce chats to Michael Kealey after the game.

A somewhat frustrated Derry City manager after tonight's game after what seemed like a soft red card for Sadou Diallo. Allowing Shelbourne the advantage of the extra man. Derry however kept it scoreless and edge closer to European Qualification 

Shelbourne visit the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium this Friday night in what is a crunch tie in the race for a European spot for 2024. We hear from Ruaidhr Higgins ahead of the game. Ruaidhri Higgins looks ahead to the fixture between Drogheda and Derry.

Ruaidhri Higgins knows this is a must win game against UCD on Friday night to give them any chance of keeping up with Shamrock Rovers. 

Brian Maher could not hide his disappointment with the Derry City loss to Sligo. Accepting that they did not play to the levels expected of them but was shocked that a penalty wasn't given after Sligo's GK Brush brought down Cian Kavanagh and also strongly believes that Sligo's  goal was a handball.

Derry City's title hopes took a major dent tonight after losing 1 nil to Sligo Rovers. With Sligo's Stefan Radosavljevic putting a close range effort past Brian Maher. With the Derry players surrounding Referee Harvey claiming it was scored with an arm.  With Shamrock Rovers unexpectedly drawing away to UCD it gave Derry the perfect opportunity to close the gap. To compound matters even more a penalty for Derry City was waved away by Mr Harvey after Sligos goal Keeper Brush flattened Cian Kavanagh & Ronan Boyce received a 2nd Yellow Card on the 82nd minute.  Whilst it's not mathematically over, Derry City have a mountain to climb to win the league.
