We say goodbye to voice actor Norm Spencer. As the voice of Cyclops from X-Men the Animated Series we all grew up with Norm on Saturday mornings.  Without further adieu... Previously on X-Men... When the X-Men return from a mission, they discover that the X-Mansion is destroyed. Storm, Jean, Rogue and Wolverine check the remains of the school to find any traces of the destroyer or from Professor X. They don't find a body and Jean can't reach him telepathically, so they must assume that he is dead or far beyond Jean's range. They are then called to the unharmed control room by Cyclops and Jubilee, who have found a message from the Professor. He informs them that he will be gone for some time, leaving the X-Men with no clues about his whereabouts. Fortunately, the message is recorded before the school was destroyed, so he has most likely not perished in the rubble. The guys are back together and they're back to talk about X-Men! Hearing that mutants are welcome on the island nation of Genosha, Professor Xavier sends Storm, Gambit, and Jubilee there for a vacation. Here they were captured by a Sentinel in last episode, Cold Vengeance. They are taken to a Slave Island, where mutants are forced to construct a dam. As far as events go, Empyre is shaping up to be a pretty good one! The story so far... As the joint fleet of the Kree and the Skrulls approaches Earth, the Avengers prepare to defend the Cotati while the Fantastic Four send Franklin, Valeria, Jo-Venn and N'kalla back to Earth while they make contact with Hulkling to establish the situation. The initial conflict is brief, but it is soon established that the Cotati intend to establish themselves as a new empire to avenge themselves on the rest of the universe in the name of all the plants that have suffered at the hands of humanoids, just using the Avengers to delay their enemies until they were ready to grow.

The guys go over the finer points of X-Men the Animated Series Season 1, Episode 6.  Professor X discovers Genosha's acceptance of mutants, and Cyclops assigns Storm, Gambit and Jubilee to go on a tour there. Wolverine, meanwhile, leaves the X-Men in an attempt to find solitude in Canada. He is rendered unconscious during a confrontation with Sabretooth, and is rescued by a group of Eskimos whom he finds peace with. However, one of the villagers becomes jealous of Wolverine's popularity among them and leaves. He then teams with Sabretooth against Wolverine, and together they attempt to capture him. Sabretooth double-crosses him and holds the other Eskimos captive on top of a cliff whilst he is distracting Wolverine. Wolverine rescues the villagers after Sabretooth falls off the cliff into a river. Meanwhile, those in Genosha are attacked by an army of Sentinels.
