Tonight the Q Brothers discuss their recommendations in the War Movie Genre. Do they go classic or contemporary? Either way you know the movies they'll recommend will be gritty, violent and maybe even heroic. So get ready to get into the trenches because....war is hell.

Tonight's episode, or was it a year ago, is the 2020 Christopher Nolan time travel movie Tenet. This was the film that was going to save the movie theater industry in the depths of Covid. Does it live up to the hype? Will it save the industry. Ralph and John discuss their thoughts. Or has it already happened? Is their discussion as confusing as the movie itself? Or like most Nolan films, visually stunning and hard to follow? Only time will tell.

Tonight's episode takes YKYMP in a new direction. Still talking films but now it's a cage match. Three members of the gang choose a movie based on a randomly selected category. They each make a case for their film then the jury decides which one we all watch. Now the discussion begins. The winner defends their crown against two new challengers. On tonight's episode of Q it Up...payback's a bitch. We bring in two special guests Drew and his wife Kelly. The premise? A month ago John challenged both of them to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" for Christmas, since neither of them had seen it. The cost of viewing a feel good movie? John had to watch Netflix's "The Perfection". Knowing Drew, it was not a movie John would seek out, so he agreed to watch it AFTER Christmas. Part of the deal was that John had to record a video of his reactions to the movie. A hint that he was in for something...interesting. Here is the discussion around that film.

Tonight on Q it Up, a change of pace episode. Ralph and John discuss the newly released Wonder Woman 1984. Does it live up to the first one or go the way of Superman 3? Watch and listen to what the brothers think cause you know...they're brothers.

Tonights participation award show features Ralph's choice, Christmas Vacation. The crew discusses this holiday favorite, while Drew was stuck in a time loop talking about the new Christopher Nolan's film, Tenant. Enjoy.

This episode of Q it Up is one in which the Q Brothers look at films we remembered as kids, films that may have left a mark or films we loved, and discuss them through our adult(Old) eyes. Do our opinions change or are we able to come to a better understanding of what the film really meant? Not sure because this was Ralph's idea. Should be interesting.

Tonight we discuss the unanimous winner of last week's Holiday Roulette, John's pick of the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol. This classic version was originally called Scrooge upon its initial release. John makes the case that out of all the versions, some good some bad, this is the gold standard. Starring Alastair Sim who creates a nuanced and believable Scrooge which is the heart of this film. Does the gang agree or do they think it's a hum bug? It's time to Q it Up for the holidays. After doing the Holiday roulette on the YKY podcast, Ralph and John decided to take a longer and more in depth look at the Christmas/Holiday movie genre. Take a good look at your "normal" neighbors across the street. Are they really who they seem to be? That's the question that's asked in this week's film, 1999's Arlington Road. It stars Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins in a taut thriller that has twists that will keep you guessing till the end. If you like your characters out of control, and in the case of Joan Cusak, super creepy, really super creepy, this is the movie for you. Let's see what the gang thinks.

Tonight the gang discusses Debbie's pick, the classic Bride of Frankenstein. This was another entry in the Universal Monster Series that started with Dracula and Frankenstein. This 1935 film is considered one of the greatest sequels ever filmed with stand out performances by Boris Karloff, Elsa Lanchaster and scenery chewing performance by Ernest Thesiger Dr. Pretorious. When it's over you'll be screaming..."She's alive, alive!!"

Tonight the Q Brothers discuss the uniquely American form of cinema the Western. As you can imagine John goes for the classics while Ralph's choices are contemporary versions of the classic genre. Either choices you can't go wrong with this genre. So in the immortal words of Joey Starrett "Shane...don't go!

What do you think of when you hear murder orb and the tall man? If you know the references then you know tonight's movie is the 1979 horror classic, and I use the term classic loosely, Phantasm. A strange movie that screams out late 70's. We even have a guest who loves this movie so much he's ready to defend it with every fiber of his being. Is it a thoughtful movie that deals with how different people handle death? Is it a well made scarefest, like Halloween and Aliens, that will have you turning the lights on? Is it a movie...that sucks! Watch or listen to find out, oh and...duck!

Tonight on Q it up, it's all about movie genres. If we've learned anything, it's that the Q brothers have polar opposite tastes in movies. We each pick a genre, explain why we love it, and recommend movies to watch that represent the genre. Everyone will know mine but you might be surprised by Ralph's. I know I was. Never give up, never surrender." With those words the gang discusses 1999's love letter to the original Star Trek series, Galaxy Quest. The movie stars Tim Allen, Sigouney Weaver, Alan Rickman and a hilarious Sam Rockwell. What could have been something that mocked Star Trek and it's fans is actually is a funny, smart and at certain points an emotional film. Excellent special effects by ILM and creature makeup by Stan Winston. Whether you are a fan of the genre or not I think you'll enjoy this film. What does the gang think? Listen and find out.
