The MIB are mysterious organization of men who wear black suites and show up to interrogate, intimidate, and silence UFO and extraterrestrial experiencers. They walk in shadows, move in silence, guard against extraterrestrial violence, or just harass people who have already been through hell. Will Smith Jokes aside, people have actually been visited by these so called MIB for nearly a century, and still there is very little known about them and their mysterious organization. Are they simply government workers trying to keep up with an ever expanding queue? Could they just be shape-shifters being shitty? Or do the Men in Black have extraterrestrial origins themselves?   S3 E11: The Dullahan This time, on Counting Cryptids:   We discuss an Irish fairy known as the Dullahan. Better known as the Headless Horseman, this creature appears as, well, a headless horseman.. Clever names aside, this thing really is quite bad ass, from his black horse with flaming nostrils, to his whip made of a human spine. The Dullahan always gets its victim.   S3 E10: The Enfield Horror This time, on Counting Cryptids:   We discuss a man with a mystical name, way too much about kangaroos, and the entity known as the Enfield Horror. The Enfield Horror, or Enfield Monster, was a strange, three-legged creature, the large red eyes, sighted in southern Illinois in the Spring of 1973. The creature, while frightening in appearance, did little more than destroy a pair of shoes, and maybe a small bit of property damage. The children eventually assimilated and even learned English, when asked where they had come from, it was revealed that they had come from a subterranean place known St. Martin’s Land. It was said that using its image would help save those who looked upon it. Drawings were made and widely distributed across the region. The images vary in appearance from ape-like, cephalopod-like, and even bird-like, and even takes the form of inanimate objects. And strangely, they have three legs.   S3 E6: Pascagoula Abduction This time, on Counting Cryptids:   We discuss a bizarre extraterrestrial encounter that occurred in 1970's Mississippi. The story is based around the shared experience of two shipyard workers, 42 year old Charles Hickson, and 19 year old Calvin Parker. The two were fishing along the banks of the Pascagoula River after work on the 11th of October 1973 when they heard a "whizzing sound" from above. Suddenly, an oval shaped craft appeared in front of them, hovering about 2 feet off the ground. Out of the craft emerged three humanoid beings each standing about 5 feet tall, with pink-ish/gray skin, lobster claw-like hands, and only one leg.   S3 E2: Black-eyed Children This time, on Counting Cryptids:  We dip our toes into a slightly more paranormal topic, the back-eyed children phenomena. As the name suggests, it is just children, that have black eyes. The thing of it is, that it is their entire eye that is black, not just the iris itself. On top of their slightly demonic appearance, these beings show up at strange times, behaving oddly, and then leave just as abruptly as they came. Luckily, since they are children after all, they need your permission to come in and fuck with you, so as long as you have a heart of stone and can kick the kids out into a snow storm, you should be fine.   S2 E23: Slide-Rock Bolter This time, on Counting Cryptids:  We discuss avalanches, Paul Bunyan, and the worst tourist trap of all time, the Slide-Rock Bolter. The SRB is a massive creature allegedly inhabits the mountains of Colorado, waiting on steep slopes for unsuspecting tourists to venture below. With the help of loose snow, gravity, and lubricating saliva, the SRB rockets down the mountain, crashing down on its victim(s). The SRB is said to gain enough speed on its way down, that its momentum will carry it up all the way up the next mountain, where it grabs hold, awaiting its next victim. While spotting a whale sized creature perched atop a mountain may seem like an easy task, the lack of sightings are eye opening to say the least.   S2 E22: Ebu Gogo This time, on Counting Cryptids:  We stumble through horrible pronunciations, debate the greater of clocks and knockers, and ramble about some little hairy dudes. The Ebu gogo are cave dwelling bipedal humanoid creatures standing just under five feet tall, with broad faces, resembling that of a monkey. Stories of these creatures emerged several hundred years ago telling of their insatiable hunger, tremendous greed, and fondness for long pig (human flesh). While the Ebu Gogo haven't been sighted for quite some time, the region is littered with reports of small, hairy, humanoid creatures that could be related. To further validate the legend of the Ebu Gogo, in 2003 remains of an individual who would have stood about 3 feet 7 inches in height were discovered at Liang Bua on the island of Flores in Indonesia, the same area the Ebu Gogo was said to inhabit.   S2 E21: The Beast Of Bodmin Moor This time, on Counting Cryptids: We discuss releasing animals into the wild, how little we know about europe, and a big ass cat known as The Beast of Bodmin Moor. This "beast" is pretty much just a panther, but in a place where it has no business, Europe. Though official reports maintain that "No verifiable evidence for the presence of a 'big cat' was found" there has been no shortage of sightings adding credibility to these creatures. And with recent, well documented, big cat escapes in the area, this podcaster subscribes to the belief that a particular person plotted this European panther population expansion project.   S2 E19: The Djinn This time, on Counting Cryptids: We discuss the almighty djinn. One of the most powerful beings that has yet to grace our notes, the djinn are an Islamic race of spiritual beings. While their motives may very, invisibility, shape-shifting, and possession, are standard practice in djinn. While they possess many supernatural abilities, they are humbled by their earthly needs for sustenance, reproduction, and religion. To make matters worse, the djinn can sense when you are thinking about them, and in return can focus on you and take advantage of you when you become venerable, with that being said, if you are in a less than ideal place in your life right now, maybe hold off on this episode for a while.   S2 E18: The Beast of Busco This time, on Counting Cryptids: We discuss CC merch, our own strange shared experience, and a tremendous turtle that transformed a town. In the late 1940's a large turtle was spotted in a small "lake" in Indiana. The turtle, later named Oscar, resembled an alligator snapping turtle, which had no business being there, as the species was thought to have been extirpated from the area. Furthermore, Oscar was estimated to be more than twice the size of the largest documented alligator snapper. As news of this record breaking reptilian began to spread, large crowds began to form on the shores of this small town, and the owner of the property prepared for a plunge.
