Christopher Reeves was Superman.  He just was.  But will Miles really understand that?  Will Thea give a crap about girls playing baseball during WWII when they aren't playing on the Cubs? Fifteen thousand children enter wearing identical matching outfits.  They sit in fear waiting for the dreaded moment when an anthropomorphic bunny rabbit wearing a great vest will appear and crush their souls.  All at once the creature emerges and every child lets out the same wail as it sits at the head of throne of eggs and pastel colored grass.  Miles watches as one by one the children are fed to the creature never to return until finally, it is just he and the devilish creature a mere handful of feet from one another.  He watches as a child is abandoned on the lap of the silent monster, instilled with a raging fear causing the girl to flail and convulse until she is taken away broken and crushed, her very being removed from her with nothing but a limp lifeless vessel remaining to be dragged behind her captures. And as the demon turns his fiery eyes toward Miles, he turns toward freedom with a silent refusal...and he runs. This week the Dads discuss Easter.  Share your stories of the holiday on the 2 Dumb

This week on Nick's Baketastic Ballyhoo we hear all about making Quad Cities style pizza and how Chris ate it all.  He had to fend off two kids a starving wife (you can guess which one) but he had the wing span and totally made off with at least a pizza and a half. The Dads also talk about how it sucks missing things with your kids.  Except Nick.  He's cool with it.  He actually drinks Chris' tears from his daughter's first sentence.  Want to know what that sentence was?  Listen to find out! This week the Dads discuss that thing you do with your kids in stores.  You know what it is, where you let them go free for a couple seconds and the next thing you know they're tugging on a stranger's pants asking for a pudding cup.  Yeah, we're those guys. It's just another day on the 2 Dumb Dads podcast...except a new battle rages!  How do you build a snowman?  Roll a snowball until it's big or pack it together until you're satisfied?  There can be only one right answer! This week we take a deep dive into a listener question as we give our suggestions on how to prepare for having a kid.  There's a lot of philosophical suggestions, a few practical ones, and the dads fight over what counts as one of their points and what doesn't before completely abandoning the conceit. Thea is the greatest kid in the universe!  She could battle the great sasquatch of California to a standstill with one leg tied to a bicycle! ...or so Chris claims.  This week the dads discuss one of Nick's biggest pet peeves, Chris' refusal to acknowledge a single problem with his daughter.  Is it wrong to think your kid is great or is it just wrong to tell people about it? Also, we answer an email following up on our last episode about guns and get excited about tease for our next episode!

Don't say we didn't warn you.  This week we argue about guns, gun laws, gun lobbies, why America loves guns...gun stuff. Nick is outraged at the NRA.  Chris thinks America is a weird place that'll never get it together.  They both think the other is completely out of touch with reality. Oh...and we're doing some new stuff with the audio which REALLY didn't work.  We're working on it. This week the Dads discuss how their hobbies have changed since their kids were born.  Nick used to be able to run across entire continents, Chris used to sit and turn a wheel while having a drink, now they dream of a day when they could sleep through the night and how they could use it for themselves. What does it mean to be a strong, independent woman?  How do you raise one?  Turns out the Dad's don't have a frickin' clue.  Listen this week as Chris and Nick stumble their way through their thoughts on how gender is playing a role in how they raise their kids.  It's painful at times how confused they are...but it's honest. They also talk about PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, punching nazis, and Nick thinks his son is just a big ball of muscle. People think a lot about adopted children, but what about adopted parents?  How does the experience change them as people once they've grown up and are having children of their own?  We're fortunate enough to have the answer. In a very special episode, Chris interviews his co-host and adopted parent himself Nick as they discuss his very unique circumstances and how it has impacted his life. Nick's back!  Now stronger than ever, he no longer fears anything.  Even Niagara Falls can do no harm to a Westemeyer!  On this week's episode the Dads discuss the confusion of baby proofing and how to keep their kids from killing themselves while their backs are turned.
