Keep an emergency savings cash buffer of at least six moths worth of outgoings. If you’re starting a new business, I would advise against renting a shop in the High Street or signing leases for offices. If you must have an office, rent one of the many serviced offices, like Regus or We-Work, with a flexible short-term contract.
