EMENES (pronounced M-N-S) is a skilled veteran DJ, Music Producer and Radio Host from the Canadian West Coast. In 2016, he was the only Indian DJ from North America (second to headliner KSHMR), brought out to perform in Pune, India to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Sunburn Music Festival, which is Asias largest music festival.His moniker of EMENES, is a creative play on his initials M & S. He is the founding and an active member of MiB (Mundey In Black), Western Canadas longest running DJ roadshow. Having fine-tuned his passion to uniquely highlight his South Asian roots, EMENES is all about creating a global fusion through uplifting dance music. Nurturing a wide range of dj styles, EMENES focuses on the fusion of Electro House, House, Progressive House and Hip Hop with influences from Bollywood and Bhangra. He develops his sound with one foot rooted in the music of the Asian subcontinent, and the other rooted in popular Western cultures. In 2011 he was recognized for kicking off the remix wave in Western Canada ~ remixing South Asian chart-toppers with Western Top 40 & Hip Hop anthems ~ and credited for his impact on the global bhangra music scene.As his ongoing quest as a pioneer in fusion music, he initiated Project India in early 2016. A journey to produce EDM anthems meshed with strong Indian musical elements and influences. Furthermore, EMENES co-producers and co-hosts a live weekly fusion mix radio show on Western Canadas largest fusion commercial FM network, CKYE RED 93.1 FM. He also produces a monthly podcast called #catch22. With a new 55 minute online release every 22nd of the month, #catch22 is all about his true passion and love for EDM and Dance music.
