Today I am reviewing a book written by James Clear called "Atomic Habits".  #AtomicHabits has been on the best seller list for years and is an excellent #productivity book.  By implementing tiny changes into our daily lives leads to major changes in our lives.  This is especially true when developing good #habits.

  Time blocking is essentially blocking periods throughout your day to work specifically on tasks.  In essence, you are scheduling your day hour-by-hour. By using this system, you can maximize your day.  A benefit to time blocking is that it reduces frustration and stress.  A more significant advantage is that you still have time left over to be a real person and enjoy your life beyond work.

Is it possible to only work 4-hours per week as described in Tim Ferriss's book called "The 4-Hour Workweek"? I am reviewing this book after reading it the first time over 10 years ago. I actually tried to follow Tim's instructions and will provide you the results I had. A great take away from this book is that we have been conditioned to be activity focused instead of productivity focus. I believe that is why everyone is focusing on productivity today.

We all storage our data online but just how secure is it.  Does Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, or DropBox provide better security?  That is what we will look at today!

When selecting the best note-taking app, there are two clear winners:  Microsoft OneNote and Evernote. As with all apps, each has its pluses and minuses.  If you are looking for a free app, then look no further than OneNote.  It comes with Window 10 and is available as a free standalone product. Evernote has a different structure that makes it easier to organize, tag, find and share information, as long as you are willing to pay for the app. OneNote and Evernote are available for desktop and mobile devices, and of course, you can access both through a web browser.  But each app also has some distinct differences.  Whether you will prefer OneNote or Evernote depends on how you use it and what value you want in an app.

There are a ton of note-taking apps available today.  Evernote has been along since the beginning and is the King of the  Note-taking apps.  BUT can Joplin beat Evernote?  

Note-Taking used to be simple.  You pick up a piece of paper and a pen and start writing.  Thanks to Charles Babbage, who invented the computer, we now have many choices for taking notes.  We can use the old fashion way of pen and paper or use applications on our phones, tablets, or computers. Furthermore, there are tons of note-taking apps available to us today. For instance, Microsoft OneNote, Apple Notes, Evernote, Google Keep, Simplenote, Notion, and Joplin.  And these are not all of them, as there are tons more.  With so many applications within our reach, it is hard to know which app is right for you. 

    Joplin is a free open-source application for handling your note taking and to-do lists.  The developer does not charge for using the application but does accept donations.  The application helps you write and organize your notes and synchronize them between your devices.  In fact, the notes are searchable, can be copied, tagged, and modified from within the application or using your own text editor.  Joplin uses the Markdown format the same as Notion.  Joplin can be downloaded on a desktop, mobile and terminal application.
