    Our guest this week is Faye Simon-Harac of Sparta, NJ, a former teacher and current Editor-in-Chief at Exceptional Parent Magazine as well as president and founder of the Irene & Eric Simon Brain Research Foundation. After serving as an educator in the Teaneck, NJ school district for a decade, Faye founded and became president of the Irene & Eric Simon Brain Research Foundation, named in honor of her parents, while they were still alive. Eric was an internationally recognized neuroscientist and served in that capacity for mare than 50 years at NYU. One of his many claims to fame was the discovery of opiate receptors in the brain, which lead to understanding of drug addiction & pain.Since 2004 the IESBRF has been providing annual cash fellowships to college and graduate school students pursuing careers in neuroscience and brain research.
