King Of The What Now?

It's time to power up with this SUPER episode that finally gives Joel what he's wanted all along: canonical Gogeta! Kat's out sick so it's up to Joel and Curtis to power up and face this challenge. The Dragon Ball Super folks attempt to make Broly more interesting in his canonical debut, Freeza is back for shenanigans, and, you know, we have an action packed movie that's 70% movie and 5000% Hype. HIIII-YAAAAAAAAAH!!

Gosh do we have a lot to talk about, which makes sense considering we're covering 2 movies, wow! We discuss Thanos as a villain, whether or not Thor is an interesting character, and how we might integrate One Piece into various elements of the MCU. The youtube video mentioned can be found here

If you enjoyed our discussion of the first season of the Expanse, then gosh do we have good news for you! This season includes more space Zombies and increased stakes as tension continues to climb! Sadly, it does not seem that Miller and Holden have developed super powers from the radiation... yet.

Chatting with the Hosts starts at 2:41 We briefly discuss our plans for NaNoWriMo (sadly, neither of your hosts made much progress this year) We're making progress on reading Paul Kreuger's Steel Crow Saga The final season of Bojack Horseman has started, and we're looking forward to the closure it may bring for the characters, and the depiction of self-improvement as work. Briefly mentioned is the His Dark Materials Trilogy, which is both a book series and a TV show on HBO Regular Episode Starts at 12:52.5 We suffer through some flashback episodes in this one, folks. However, as if in reward for our suffering, we also get 5 utterly bizarre omakes, so at least it's not completely treading water. Then, we get to the real fun as Luffy and crew crash into the Tower of Law! We discover the secret of Funkfried the elephant, and Kaku's devil fruit ability. It's a regular menagerie over here!

Actually, we make far fewer Disney puns in this episode, but we do discuss Kingdom Hearts 3, and once more Joel is the closest to a well-read fan, while Curtis has played without following the story too closely and Kat has never played but enjoys the story. Lot of fanfiction moments in this episode, folks!

For this episode, we're bringing you discussion of not 1, but 3 rom-com shows with different levels of comedy and fan-service. Though To-Love-Ru almost killed us, we found a way to persevere. THe other 2 series: The World God Only Knows and Ouran High School Host club. In addition to discussing what we liked or didn't from each series, we bring in discussion of One Piece. What would their host-club personalities be like?

It's time for Kat's pick for a bonus episode, and we chose the second Equestria Girls movie! We try and see if Curtis (completely removed from this series) can name the mane 6 characters and their elements of friendship/harmony, and Joel has a fanfic moment about "Shadow Luffy"- or would it be... Luffy Black? Nega Luffy? Anti Luffy? Yfful? So join us for some great laughter (and, we suppose, generosity, kindness, honesty, loyalty, and magic)!

Curtis takes the space-helm in this episode, and this time Joel is the newbie! It's also our first science fiction based bonus episodes, and it turns out Joel is a larger fan of fantasy, while this is Curtis's bread and butter. We discuss how drab and hopeless the future seems to be, moral relativity, and racial tensions, the old stable of speculative fiction. Joel predicts space Hulks and space Cthulu in future seasons. Plus, Holden and Miller should kiss.

Welcome to the very first bonus episode we ever recorded. We apologize if the audio is not what you expect- it's something of a time capsule for our old set up. But more importantly, pokemon! It's a huge series with which your hosts each have some familiarity- some strong, some not as much. Everyone's on trains in this episode: Good guys, bad guys, main characters, support characters. Among the many wonderful new faces is one that bears a striking resemblance to a former crew member. Just who IS Sogeking, and WHERE is Sniper Island?? We also discuss Wanze (the rollerblading noodle chef who shoots ramen from his nose) and his stupid face, Nero (The "Sea Weasel") and what is wrong with his face, and we discuss whether friendship lasers are believable or not. We explore yet another One Piece movie and the New Years special that sees the Straw Hats in an Alternate Universe! We generally like Chief Luffy, but are a bit more critical of the adventure on Mecha Island. We talk about... It's a jam packed episode this week, folks. Luffy and Zoro reclaim their confidence when they hear of Robin's true motives, Zoro seems to be developing a sixth sense for cursed blades, and we're reunited with the chef with the twirly eyebrows. We also ponder nautical terms, and wonder Geese can be classified as boats. Also, Jimmy Neutron and Fairy Tail references this week.

It's time for another trip to flash back land, where we meet two new characters. Join us as we come to the realize that weapons... can be used as weapons, and even more government corruption is revealed, what a shocker! Also, we predict Usopp will return as a martial arts master, allowing Luffy to win the tournament!

At long last, we get to see the faces behind the masks of the CP9, and they're familiar to a lot of us! We discover what Iceberg has, and whether or not it's Robin's soul in a jar, and we get super amazing kung fu powers! The action is really ramping up, and the building is going to blow in just a few more minutes!
