Absolute Talk!

Picking up right where we left off I share my first impressions of the late great Owen Hart who passed away 20 years ago. Eddie V, Lou Colella and I will also look back at the legendary storyline of the Bret vs. Owen sibling rivalry that is considered one of the ABSOLUTE best storylines ever in professional wrestling. But also, he was one of greatest ribbers ever at playing hilarious practical jokes to some of the fellow wrestlers back in the day including The Undertaker, Lex Luger and even Vince McMahon that you must hear about!! All in all, truly a great wrestler, entertainer and a wonderful family man that we lost way too soon.

It's been 20 years since the passing of the one of wrestling's greatests of all time, Owen Hart. Joining me are Eddie V, and Lou Colella to share their first impressions watching him back in the day along with other highlights. And we'll also talk about the fatal accident at the "Over The Edge" PPV that ultimately took his life which to this day is still being talked about. 

Joining me on the podcast today is none other than dancing great Sara Mouchon a.k.a. "Mouchy Mouch"!! A fantastic dance instructor who has traveled from coast to coast, but we'll look at her journey from living in Rhode Island to moving to Spain, why she wanted to become a teacher and what inspired her to learn west coast swing dancing. But also, we reflect back on some old school nostalgia from our days of the 80s & 90s music to Nickelodeon way back in our heyday!!

This week we continue with the saga as we cover the sequel, Ghostbusters 2, that happened 30 years ago. Returning again for the discussion is "Tomdog" Morse of Channel X as take a deeper dive, and I don't mean into the Pneumonic Subway lol, as we look back on the "Scary" history of the movie ha-ha-haaaaa!! Also we talk about the theme song made famous by Ray Parker Jr. and why there was such an uproar in the legal dept by another famous act of the 80s!

Can you believe it's been 35 years since the release of the very first Ghostbusters movie? Joining me is "Tomdog" Morse of Channel X as we look back at the movie that really sparked the series. We'll look back at both the plot to the behind-the-scenes that helped make it all happen with some "Spooktacular" thoughts from our perspectives.

In this short solo episode, I share what I've been up to the last couple of weekends from Philly Swing Classic to my fun time in NYC!! Also, I go off on a rant to kick off the show...kinda in a calm way possibly about some things. But also, I'll let y'all in on what the future holds for the podcast, my next dance appearances and a few shoutouts along the way!

Coming to you from the Repertory Theatre in New Britain where I had a GREAT sit-down chat with actor Michael King. He portrays the male lead, "Huey Calhoun," in the CT Theatre Company version of "Memphis" which was really fun to watch on stage. We'll look back at the behind-the-scenes without giving too much away along with favorite memories of him and the wonderful cast he got to work with. Not only that, we get to hear more about why he pursued acting, favorite shows he got to do, future dream projects and our favorite films, comedies and other entertaining tidbits.

It's so true, "The Dancing Doctor" joins the show and YES she's both a doctor and a dancer! We'll look back at what inspired her to pursue a career in the medical field along with any challenges that come with the profession. Also, we take a look back at her journey into dancing, what she enjoys the most, our philosophies & preferences at events and social dances. But that's not all!! She shares with us some great highlights from her days of travel that you gotta hear from places including Iceland, Egypt and more!!

Now that we know why. Mr. Mo and I are going to look back at the music from both acts "Working" in the second part of this interview. We'll also talk more behind-the-scenes news and notes including our field trip to see the same show performed by another group at the Long Wharf Theatre. Plus, what the overall student culture was like back 20 years ago. And as well, we'll talk more about why the "When We Grew Up" came about and why it ultimately fell though.

In the first of this two-part interview, I sit down with the music director for my Sophomore play "Working" John Mobilio a.k.a. Mr. Mo. We'll look back at a few of the behind-the-scenes highlights from auditions to rehearsals to showtime. And the big question on everyone's mind is Why? Why did we end up 20 years ago doing "Working", well Mr. Mo has the answer to that.

Continuing with the "Working" series, I sit down for an interview with the great Yarixa McCarthy this week. We'll look into her time portraying the roles of the Migrant Worker and the Waitress during the play and her recollection of it all. And there's also a big time moment that she'll tell us that almost derailed the show but you have to tune in to find out, let's just say you'll laugh a lot at some point.

We pick up right where we left off as Victoria and I share more stories from our time during and after making of the high school production of "Working". Also she'll talk about the reunion project that she had for the play a few years ago and why that fell through.

Part 1 of this interview, Victoria and I look back during her time partaking in the high school musical, "Working". We'll talk about her audition process including the characters of The Millworker and The Teacher with the challenges she had with those roles. And also we share some stories off-stage and even a hilariously embarrassing one I have from our field trip to the Long Wharf Theatre version of the musical!!

We start off August by looking back at some great times performing the sophomore musical, "Working" from 20 years ago. Joining me, making his return to the pod, is none other than Jon Van Geons who made the transition from crew to cast since his last play "Grease" that we covered before. We sit down to discuss what the rehearsal was like to his reaction when got to play the stage roles of both the fireman and gasman. And of course we share some behind-the-scenes stories as we open up the program from way back when and also what it was like getting to perform on that big auditorium stage during his senior year in high school.

It is another new solo episode as I let everyone in on what I have going on for the rest of the year. This ranges from projects to activities involving my show to another podcast to dance-related material with some details and my thoughts behind it all. I do apologize for lacking a bit in the sound-quality department as I try some things out but it's all in good fun eh? And there are a few shoutouts that I have on here that are worth your eyes and ears!

He was truly one of the best bad guys in the history of professional wrestling. Lou Colella joins me as we look back at his Hall of Fame career 20 years since his passing from our perspectives. Some of the key highlights will include his stints from the territory days to his multiple stints in both WCW and the WWF, and even a stop at ECW. And also, we'll look back at the two major events, including the very infamous "Lloyds of London" Insurance Policy, that would end his full-time career as a wrestler. There's a lot to cover and we are ready for this "RAVISHING" ride!

For the first time in over 10 years I catch up with a friend of mine from my old karaoke days, Robert J. Williams! In this short interview, we look back at his time auditioning for both "American Idol" Season 4 and "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 2 (Benji Schwimmer's winning season) including the process of those auditions. We'll also look back at our karaoke days from over a decade ago, favorite music and more about the musical "Memphis" that he is rehearsing for as a supporting actor "Wailing Joe".

We start off the month of July with New Hampshire's own Madeline Marie along with an appearance by her trusty canine companion "Pearl"! And speaking of which, we find out the circumstances of how she acquired her. We'll look back at her dance journey from ballroom to west coast swing and what were the challenges making that transition. Also during the day, she works as a nurse, but we'll find out why she's going back to school in career-changing move that you don't want to miss. And as well as future goals, horror movies, travel stories, first-time weekend events and pop-culture favorites!

Today on this date June 25, 2009 was when we lost "The King Of Pop". It's a special part three edition of the MJ series where due to my forgetfulness, Terry Roseborough and I go back and cover two important songs we left out. So in this episode we'll cover "The Way You Make Me Feel" from the "Bad" album, and "Scream" which was his rare duet with his very famous sister, Janet Jackson. And after that, we'll discuss our takes on the then very famous "Neverland Ranch" and a few other memories as well.

Picking up right where we left off. In Part 2, Terry Roseborough and I go through the music of the "King of Pop" from his album, "Dangerous", all the way to his last album, "Xscape". Also for some of these songs, we share our thoughts on the meanings behind them along with sounds that really catch our ear even today as we speak. And as well we'll go back to the 80s for a bit as Terry gives his "Absolute" take on the famous reprisal that was made called "The Wiz"! Of course we'll sum up our thoughts on MJ's legacy along the way.
