Sinopsis

We really love sharing a cup of something wonderful with our friends & neighbors. We don't all vote the same way or go to the same church. We don't share the same favorite colors or drink orders at the local coffee shop. We don't always get along. But we've found that it's easier to understand someone when you sit heart to heart, cups in hand. There's room to share what God is brewing in me and what God's brewing in you - and then watch how that understanding infuses our lives. Welcome to You Brew You, the podcast.

  • The Way of Love for Kids #12

    05/04/2020 Duración: 25min

The Way of Love for Kids is a walk through a thoughtful set of practices designed to draw each of us closer to the heart of God. Over twelve episodes we will explore ways to connect with God and each other. Some of these practices may be familiar, while others may invite you toward a new way of wondering about God and this Way of Love. This is our final episode in the series the Way of Love. It has been a beautiful journey as we shared the seven practices from Bishop Michael Curry - Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go and Rest. We thought it would be fitting to share the story of the road that Jesus took to the cross - truly the Way of Love, as our last leg of this trek together. Today we share Rosemary Hannah’s Passion Narrative for Children from Luke, read by Topher, Philippa and Gillian. So settle in and hear the Way of Love that Jesus walked for us. Produced by Ron Lessner and Alex Orman Kraft Services: Elizabeth Cuevas Technical Support: Christy Orman, Jody Gillit, Dave & Sarah Wallace Social Media

We’ve tried some of them out for the first and explored new ways to look at things we have practiced for a long time. I’m not gonna lie today’s audio isn’t the greatest, but the heart of the message is still strong - practicing our faith isn’t about getting it perfect - it’s about growth. And today’s mini-BFF’s Gideon and Maeve are wonderful examples of how practicing our faith looks like kindness! We invite you to buckle up (if you are in the car - parents drive the speed limit) and/or settle in for a few minutes of wond

  • A daughter remembers w/Laurel Copeland Brown

    22/05/2019 Duración: 01h08min

When Kari met her she had a little pixie hair cut, a face full of angel kisses, and an infectious laugh. Laurel Copeland Brown is the daughter of Kari's sweet friend Sherry Brown, who lost her battle with cancer on May 21, 2008. Sherry was one of Kari's "mommy mentors" - offering the "calm voice of reason" when as a new momma, Kari was losing her grip. Sherry left behind three little girls who are each so unique and beautiful. In Laurel, Kari has watched this pixie grow into a woman with moxie, who now quite often herself, offers words of encouragement and calm. Sherry left Kari a little piece of herself in Laurel, and she has become a "God-daughter by default" and a treasure to all who know her. In today's chat, Laurel and Kari take a stroll down memory lane and a long look at love, loss and the ties that bind us together. So scootch up a chair, pop the top on a Topo Chico and let this visit wash over you like the warm winds of early summer. And while you've got a cold one in
