This week we have a full 2h episode, the first one of season 3! And we dedicated this episode to all the new students that arrived in Maastricht this week.

This week's episode is centered around sustainability and the climate emergency. During the first hour, our hosts explore different ways of approaching this fight. How can one get involved and make a difference? Is it best to take direct action or work through the system with petitions, voting and patience? How to educate the new generations? Find out with our lovely guests from KAN Maastricht - Klimaat Actie Netwerk and @zerowastemaastricht . The second hour is dedicated to everyday choices we can each make that not only safeguard our future, but improve our present as well! It's time for sustainable shopping tips! Shopping sustainably doesn't always mean spending more, and we will discover what we all can do to live happily while respecting nature with Froan Verheijden and recordings by Ogbonna Hagins aka Philly Green Man!

During this second urban hour at Student Radio Maastricht, we will have another Urban takeover in Dutch, by Jackson from JUICY Nation. Jackson will take us into the Urban scene again with his co-hosts Kenny and Claidel. They will take us into the meaning of Urban and its reputation.

This episode features Helena and Sachit in conversation with members of Segura! Escola de Samba Maestricht & Entusiasta Bateria de Samba, the two samba schools of Maastricht. The conversation centers around the origin and history of Samba, as well as discovering what the scene in Maastricht has to offer.

UTOPIA is a project produced by Rubi Jansen, soon to be graduate of the Maastricht Acadamy of Interdisciplinary Arts. Featuring Saskia Valk, Diana Caballero, Saina Salarian and Sachit Ajmani, with additional interview content from Florian Fischer in Berlin. Together we will talk about how we can create this futures by using a de-colonialist and consciously intersectional de-constructionist approach.
