  • 19: Surving Abuse, Claiming Freedom & Walking With Jesus With Marva Goss

    08/11/2018 Duración: 56min

Hey gals and welcome back! Today on the show I am sitting down with my friend Marva  Goss. We recorded this episode in April and friends, it’s a REALLY powerful one. There are a few housekeeping notes to share, since this content was recorded earlier this year. You’re going to hear us talk about the Boss Mom podcast, which was something I used to be a part of. That season has closed, but I am grateful for the time I spent with all of the Boss Moms out there and founder Dana Malstaff. Also, since this episode recorded, Marva has changed her Instagram handle to @marvagoss Friends,  It hasn’t felt like the right time to air this episode, until now, and even now, I still went back to Marva to double check she wanted her story to be shared. This is one is probably best listened to without your kids around. Actually, I wouldn’t listen to this one with my kids around. So I won’t be offended if you have to wait on this. Marva is a survivor who has experienced emotional, sexual and physical trauma. . She has transform

  • 18: God's Redemption Song with Sarah Morrison

    05/11/2018 Duración: 58min

Today on the show I am sharing a conversation that I had earlier this summer with my friend  Sarah Morrison. Her story is one that I’ve been dying to share with you guys and here’s why. She went from being a married homeschooled mama of 5 to becoming a divorced single mom. God brought someone new into her life and now she’s remarried with six kids! Not only that, she’s currently the full time working parent and her husband Cole is the primary care giver (aka the stay at home dad) for their family. In this episode we talk about God’s redemption song through her story, how and why Cole (that’s her husband) became a stay at home dad, including their biblical conclusion, logistics and her Sarah’s mindset struggles and shift  about their role reversal. Spoiler alert, this role is a God sized dream come true for Cole and he treats it like it’s his job. Sarah is a powerhouse and seriously one of my favorite people I’ve ever met through the internet, although, we’ve also met in person. She’s passionate about helping

She and I grew up in the same small town in Northern IL where everyone knew your name and knew your business. Back then, she was Natalie Jeffords, her brother Aaron was a year ahead of me in school, her mom taught me to tap dance first in her garage and then in the town hall,  and her dad started out as my high school shop teacher but by the time I was a junior, he was my principle. • 01: Battle Cry For The Working Christian Mom

    16/04/2018 Duración: 17min

Welcome to the Working  Christian Mom Podcast. I’m NJ Rongner. I’m a wife, mom and a business consultant who focuses on marketing and strategy. Some of you may or may not know me as part of the Boss Mom team the sometimes co-host of the Boss Mom Podcast with Dana Malstaff. In this episode, I get a little fired up about the mission God has given me. This is my message to you… A Battle Cry for the Working Christian Mom. Here are the truths for you.  You can love your family and your job, it doesn’t have to be one or the other.  You are enough.  Conviction comes from the holy spirit, guilt wrecks us because we let it. God’s grace is enough. He told us so. You can do hard things.  And those things that scare you, those are probably the things you NEED to be doing. Your work IS ministry and the world needs your work.  When God created you, he knew you’d be in this role, at this job.  It’s okay that you’re ambitious.  This episode was saturated in Scripture but I didn’t give many of the verses. To grab your Battle
