This is the third and final session of our original Mothership RPG actual play series, which was unfortunately cut short by the COVID-19 quarantine. I'm happy to say that this one really brings the awesome (and the comedy!), and I'd very much like to return to this campaign in the near future. As an additional note, I had a lot of fun editing this session. I fiddled a bit with adding more sound effects to some of the scenes, and I hope they aren't too distracting. We're getting the Band back together! And by that I mean that the Bikers Dice and Bars crew is finally starting the long-needed process of reassembling our podcast crew to record in-person again. After months of remote recording woes, we now have added safety measures to our studio to enable us to once again meet face to face, and joyfully record like we used to in The Before Times. Hooray! As such, this episode is all about the idea of "getting the band back together," be it an old drinking circle, an old gaming group, and even a podcast team. In this episode, we share a lively discussion about the "classic" board games we all grew up with. By "classic" we mean "you could buy these at a big box toy store in the 1990s" kind of board games. These are the games that you probably played a lot with your families before moving on to the geekier and more complicated nerd-games that are all the rage today. We close out with a talk about some of the various "gateway games" that you use to help bridge the gap, or even to replace the classics at the next family gatherings. After an unexpected quarantine-required break from our regular recording sessions, we are finally back with a new episode.
