So I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts True Crime Obsessed and they were covering The VOW docu-series. I only knew of the company mentioned in the program as some weird sex ring but when I saw it was really a coaching program my stomach started to go into knots. I realized that their practices and business model looked like every other coaching model, sales course , or marketing strategy I have either been taught or have gone through as a consumer. I realized that when the models are used responsibly, you find that you have happy consumers and thriving businesses but what happens when it’s not used responsibly? You have exploited customers and a tarnished brand. So how do you find the balance ? How do you ensure that you use models that help both you and your customers?
