Season 3 Episode 5 - Before we officially discuss the first BPRD story, Hollow Earth, Kait and Dave offer up a brief segment of Countdown to Hellboy 2019, read a correspondence from the originator of our nickname Crappers in Oh Boy Email, and Kait gives the fifth #RightHandofDraw prompt.

Season 3 Episode 4 - The episode kicks off with a movie tangent then moves into BOOM Reviews, followed by a jam packed segment of Hell to Pay including the Hellboy Beer Series and the book Hellboy: 25 Years of Covers. Kait offers up the 4th #RightHandofDraw prompt before a discussion of the first Hellboy novel The Lost Army written by Christopher Golden.

Season 2 Episode 14 - We get to know our guest Cody Ziglar and part of his nerd biography before diving into a page by page discussion of the short yet rich Hellboy story The Nature of the Beast then to close out we get into a closing segment of Oh, Boy Email that has us talking Halloween 2018 and reading a crazy list of words! Season 2 Episode 13 - Kait and MDC are sent into a spiral about Hellboy’s true name Anung Un Rama in another segment of Oh, Boy email then witness a brief Hellboy Movie rant before they focus up and get to the page by page discussion of two great short stories pencilled by Matt Smith and inked by Ryan Sook.

Kait and MDC are graced by the presence of Kait’s fiancée Jessica Ross (College Humor, UCB’s Bombardier). They discuss her relationship with comic books and comic book characters including the horniness of the 90’s X-Men Animated TV show and how this is the first Hellboy story she’s read before all three go page by page discussing the story that Mignola says was written to “resolve the whole Beast of Apocalypse business once and for all.”

Via facetime from Utah, Kait and MDC have the creator of our theme music and his son, Taylor Williams and Elliott, on the show to discuss the two-page story, that also happens to be the first Hellboy story Taylor read with Elliott, Pancakes. In addition, we get Elliott’s suggestion to read FableHaven, Taylor’s skeptical thoughts on the new Hellboy coming in 2019 and thank goodness Kait asked how to spell Taylor’s current band, Mosida, check them out!

We’re joined by another best friend of Kait’s Luke Field (College Humor, UCB Harold Night) and discuss his Exhumed band t-shirt, admiration for Elvira and enjoyment of the first-four Hellboy trade paperbacks then before all three discuss the H.P. Lovercraft inspired short story Kait surprises MDC with another gift.

We get to know our guest and best friend of Kait’s Andrew Stanton (UCB Harold Night - Heartthrob) and his love for Fantasy/Horror novels (Tolkien, King, Gaiman) then before jumping into the vampire filled story, The Vârcolac, all three discuss the action figures featured in the Mignolaverse.com article Retro as Hell: Hellboy ReAction Figures Series 2 and their desire to play with them.

This is a sweet and simple episode, a brief email from a regular listener and emailer then Kait & MDC go right into discussing the short story The Right Hand of Doom [August 1998] before signing off until the next episode!

Season 2 Episode 7 - The entire first half of this episode is dedicated to the segment Oh, Boy Email to catch up with listener’s responses to the show. After that MDC and Kait discuss the 8 page story The Baba Yaga [August 1998] then close out with Countdown to Hellboy 2019 and a special audio gift from friend of the podcast and Mignolaverse.com contributor Alex Aronowicz.

MDC & Kait get Countdown to Hellboy 2019 caught up with recent poster releases and the NYCC panel then discuss the first comic book in the Mignolaverse to be written and illustrated by someone other than Mike Mignola, Abe Sapien: Drums of the Dead followed up with discussion about the back-up story inspired by a Japanese folk-tale Heads. Before signing off, Kait and MDC watch a clip of Hellboy from InJustice 2 suggested by a friend of the podcast.

MDC & Kait get into the holiday spirit by discussing the short story A Christmas Underground from the first ever Hellboy Christmas Special. Before diving into the pages there are new installments into the segments Aw, Crap Email and Countdown to Hellboy 2019 [we are fully aware that release the date is April 12th - that change occurred between recordings] plus another More Mignola segment before signed off.
