The Red Sox came from behind and beat the Rangers, 7-2, in the series finale Sunday afternoon in Arlington, TX. It was the Red Sox 25th come-back win of the season. Sox take 2 of 3 in Arlington and win their 2nd straight series after losing their 1st 3 Series out of the All-Star Break. ----- Wilyer Goes Yard 2X!: Wilver Abreu tied the game at 2-2 with a solo Home Run in the 4th Inning. It was his 2nd of the Series. His 2nd of the game and 3rd of the Series came with 2 runners on in the 6th Inning and gave the Sox a 6-2 lead. The 2nd Home Run traveled 430' and was his 1st this season against a lefty pitcher. Abreu was caught by the cameras on the NESN telecast in the 4th Inning getting emotional and perhaps with tears in his eyes. Teammates did come over to check in on him and picked him up. The Texas Rangers had 2 big innings against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox bullpen and evened up the Series at 1-1 with a 7-4 victory Saturday night in Arlington. Rob Refsnyder went 4-for-4 with a Double, 2 solo Home Runs, a walk, and 3 RBIs. Houck took the loss. ----- Leaving 'Em Loaded: Red Sox left the bases loaded in the 4th inning against starter Cody Bradford. Sox left the bases loaded again in the 8th when Kirby Yates struck out Jarren Duran to end the inning. Red Sox left 10 runners on base and went 3-for-11 with Runners In Scoring Position. ----- On the Board 1st: Rob Refsnyder smacked his 6th Home Run of the season with 1 out in the first inning and that got the Red Sox on the board 1st against Cody Bradford and the Rangers. Refsnyder made it 2-0 with his 2nd Home Run of the game and 7th of the year in the 4th Inning. It's his 1st career 2 Home Run game. The Red Sox opened up their 6-game road trip with an 11-6 win over the Texas Rangers Friday night in the series opener in Arlington, Texas. With the win, the Red Sox have won back-to-back games for the 1st time since the All-Star Break. Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela and Rafael Devers hit home runs and Kutter Crawford worked into the 6th and ended up notching his 7th win. ----- Quick Responses #1: Wilyer Abreu turned on 1 in the 2nd and hammered a 2-run Home Run to give the Sox their 1st lead of the night at 2-1. It was Abreu's 10th of the season, and all 10 have come off of right-hand pitchers. ----- Quick Response #2: After the Rangers hit 2 solo Home Runs to go up a run in the 3rd, the Red Sox came right back and took the lead back in the 4th Inning. The Red Sox closed out their homestand and the month of July with a 3-2 walk-off win in the bottom of the 10th inning against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday afternoon.  Rafael Devers ended the game with his 3rd hit of the game with an RBI Double that scored Tyler O'Neill.      Sox went 3-3 on the homestand and 13-11 in the month of July.  It's the Red Sox 4th walk-off win of the season.  It's the 1st Series win since the All-Star Break for the Red Sox.  Zack Kelly left the bases loaded in the top of the 10th inning and he picked up the win.  -----On the Board 1st- Red Sox got on the board in the 1st inning against George Kirby and the Mariners Wednesday afternoon.  Masa Yoshida reached with a 2-out walk to extend the inning.  Yoshida went 1st to 3rd on a Double by Rafael Devers and scored on a Wild Pitch.  -----Bello's Day:  Bryan Bello turned in a strong outing on Wednesday.  He struck out 7 and departed with 2 on and 1 out in the 7th inning.  It's his 3rd straight no-decision.  #66's Final Line- 6.1 IP.

The Red Sox never led at any point Sunday night and lost the series finale, 8-2, to the Yankees. Tanner Houck took the loss. The Red Sox committed 3 errors in the loss and the team continued a disturbing trend of late by not hitting, with runners in scoring position when they had the opportunities. Dreaded 1st- For the 2nd straight game, the Yankees scored 3 in the top of the 1st. Aaron Judge went the other way with a single and that scored Alex Verdugo with the game's first run. It was the 7th RBI of the Series for Judge. The Red Sox were 1 out away from moving to a game over .500 for the 1st time this season at Fenway Park this season. It did not happen.  The Yankees tied the game up against Kenley Jansen in the top of the 9th and scored 3 runs in the top of the 10th against Chase Anderson and evened up the series with an 11-8 victory.  Red Sox did not score in the bottom of the 10th and left 2 runners in scoring position.  Chase Anderson took the loss.Before the Blow Save-Tyler O'Neill led off the home 7th with his 2nd solo Home Run of the game and that put the Red Sox up, 7-6.  Sox would add 1 more run in the inning to go up, 8-6.Aaron Judge hit a 1-2 pitch from Zack Kelly off the Green Monster in the top of the 8th inning and plated, Alex Verdugo.  Juan Soto ignored the stop sign put up by the 3rd-base coach and was cut down at the plate.  Jarren Duran played the ball off the wall and fired to Ceddanne Rafaela who made a perfect throw to the plate to Connor Wong to cut down Soto for the 2nd out.  Kelly got the next hitter

The Red Sox closed out their 6-Game Road Trip with a 20-7 loss to the Rockies in the finale at Coors Field Wednesday afternoon. Sox went 1-5 on their road trip, losing all 3 to the Dodgers and lost 2 of 3 to the Rockies. Nick Pivetta got knocked around in taking the loss. Sox starter gave up a home run to Ezekiel Tovar to start off the home 1st inning. Pivetta threw 38 pitches and allowed 3 runs in the 1st and 2 more in the 2nd. He was chased from the game with 2 outs in the 3rd. Pivetta’s Line- 2.2 IP. 10 Hits. 8 Runs. 7 Earned Runs. 0 Walks. 6 Strikeouts. 2 Home Runs Allowed. Pivetta is a free agent this winter. The Red Sox never trailed in ending their 4-game losing streak with Tuesday night's 6-0 win over the Rockies at Coors Field. Red Sox have not lost 5 straight games at any point of the season. Would you agree that the Sox wouldn't need to be in the market for a right-handed bat if Tyler O'Neill was more consistent?
