Continuing on from last weeks message, 'Living With Purpose', Pastor Chris continues to explain how important it is to live on mission. In 1 Peter 4:7-11 Peter explains what it should look like for us to live on mission together as a community. We must live with purpose so that in all things, God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

For week 9 of our summer message series, You Are Chosen: Lessons From 1st Peter, Pastor Chris spoke on Living With Purpose. In 1 Peter 4:1-6, Peter tells us how we need to persevere in our purpose, even if others reject us. Jesus chose to stand out.

This morning Pastor Chris took us into 1 Peter 3:8-22 and looked at how, in this passage of scripture, Peter tells us how to live when we are frustrated, aggravated, persecuted, or even suffering for doing what is right. This has been one of the most frustrating 4-5 months for many of us, and in those moments, it is tempting to let our feelings guide us. Peter's advice to us this morning will help us stop, take a breath, and respond in ways that build our faith and maintain our witness.

In week 7 of the Summer Series, Lessons From 1st Peter, Pastor Chris takes us into 1 Peter 3 which looks at marriage. He expresses the importance that as Christians we should demonstrate strong marriages and how husbands and wives should serve each other to ultimately bring glory to God.

This week Pastor Chris G spoke on how hope can be found in our compassionate faithful God. Preaching from Lamentations 3:21-32 he encouraged us that anything God has done before, He can do now! God’s compassions never fail, His faithfulness is great and God is hope.

With so many different things pulling on us, in this crazy and fast paced world that we occupy, it is often hard to even see what the main thing is. Looking at Matthew 6:25-34, Pastor Renny explained how this passage of scripture is Jesus' way of telling us that the main thing is keeping the main thing the main thing.

Looking at 1 Peter 2:11-20 Pastor Chris explains the importance of submitting to authority in order to maintain a good witness as followers of Christ.

Looking at 1 Peter 2:4-10, Pastor Chris explained how we have been chosen to be built together in Christ to create space in our world for others to experience Him.

This Sunday Pastor Chris took us back into 1st Peter. Reading from 1 Peter 1:13 - 2:3 he explains how Peter shifts his tone from our choosing, our new life, and why it's so important, to HOW we are supposed to live in the light of the truth he has laid out for us.

In week 3 of our summer message series, You Are Chosen: Lessons from 1st Peter, Pastor Chris looked at 1 Peter 1:10-12 and explained how it is important to persevere because we have been chosen by God.

This week Pastor K preached on Persistent Faith. Looking at the life of Joseph, Kareem explained how Joseph didn't allow different life circumstances to get in the way of his faith.

Pastor Chris interviewed Clifton Taulbert, Kareem Katia, Sean Terrell, Stephanie Jackson, and Joanna Shrewsbury about the difference the Gospel makes in confronting racism, discrimination, prejudice, and bigotry. We're excited to share their stories with you so we can all make progress on the path of peace!
