Perhaps the Maple Leafs of the South, there's a lot more to the Florida Panthers than it seems on the surface. While some names like Frank Vatrano and Noel Acciari are maybe not so familiar, most fans probably recognize superstar talents Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau as well Aaron Ekblad and Keith Yandle holding down the blue line. The Columbus Blue Jackets made a splash during last season’s trade deadline season as they loaded up for a shot at glory in the playoffs. While things didn’t pan out quite as they had hoped, the Jackets eeked into the postseason and made history with their first round sweep over what many presumed would be the dominant and superior Tampa Bay Lightning. The Jackets don’t have any of their rentals from last season and may have lost Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky to unrestricted free agency, but they’re still finding ways to win. Well it took until the nearly December, but the Kings are finally facing off against their biggest rival -- the San Jose Sharks.
