The Lucha Bros RETURN ONCE MORE to the Attitude Era as we talk about a show right smack dab in the middle of WWF's massive mainstream appeal - WWF No Mercy 1999, where we saw the rise of stars whom would become legends in the years to come. This was the night people were MADE, headlined by the FIRST of MANY PPV main events between Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Title. This is part 1 of our review so we cover the first half of the show, including Mideon's love of dead animals, Moolah and Mae awesomeness, Ivory gets put over, and yes, THE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING MATCH - where our boy Jeff Jarrett gets put over by us once again, but goes under to a woman in one of the wackiest matches ever in wrestling! With the demise of TNA Wrestling possibly looming upon us once again, this week's Lucha Bros takes its focus back to the origin of it all - the summer of 2002 and the very first show ever from TNA, then known as NWA Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, from Huntsville, Alabama, the first of many weekly 10 dollar PPVs. Draven and D analyze the origin of TNA and tell the story of how it all happened, the concept behind the weekly PPVs, the talent used and the time period as a struggling new company founded by the Jarretts aimed to fill the void WCW left behind. Plus, all sorts of wacky including Ron Killings vs. Brian Lawler in a race-fueled feud right out of 80s Memphis, Ken Wayne Shamrock's Sideburns, Toby Keith suplexes Jeff Jarrett, who the HELL is Hermie Sadler?, Ed Ferrara cosplays as Drexl and offers Don West an eggroll, Jackie Fargo steals the show and MUCH MORE! What a horribly great show.

On this edition of the Lucha Bros, we travel back once again to 1995 to revisit the SECOND ever WWF In Your House during a time that the company wasn't doing so well. Another Sid vs. Diesel main event headlines, plus some very strange and awkward behind the scenes activities, Shawn vs. Jarrett, the ALLIED POWERS and A WHOLE LOT MORE. PLUS, for the first time ever, an UNPRECEDENTED event - Big D will PERFORM his rendition of WITH MY BABY TONIGHT! THE ONLY TIME YOU WILL HEAR HIM SING EVER IS NOW! SO TUNE IN!

Part II of our look back at the WWF Wrestling Classic, the first WWF PPV ever! On this episode we cover the semifinals and the finals which feature some of the most bizarre events that we have ever seen including a match with NO REFEREE where JYD takes the initiative and counts his own 3!? What the hell!? Plus, we talk Piper vs. Hogan and their history as well as their match here, the VERY strange booking of the Macho Man Randy Savage, Jesse Ventura's ability to leave his post whenever he wants, and MUCH MORE!

It sucks to have to come back under these circumstances, but we have postponed our true comeback episode next week in favor or Draven and I's retrospective of the career of Rowdy Roddy Piper, who passed away a few days ago. We go through all of Piper's big moments, his impact on the business, his influence, and what he meant to us. Enjoy the show!

The Lucha Bros are VERY excited to present our review for Summerslam 1993 PART 1! This show has literally everything that we love about the business of professional wrestling including great matches, great segments, and the most important thing: wacky. But also, this show took place during a transitional period in the business where certain guys got phased out, so say goodbye to Mean Gene, Mr. Perfect, Ted Dibiase, and others. We talk about yes, THE LEX EXPRESS and whether or not it was a good idea. We talk about the FANTASTIC Stieners vs. Heavenly Bodies feud, HEEL DOINK YET AGAIN!, IRS writes off the 1-2-3 Kid, Bruce Hart wackiness and a WHOLE LOT MORE! Next week, we bring you part 2!

This weeks Kayfabulous takes us back to 1988 and the VERY FIRST ROYAL RUMBLE (not really) TV SPECIAL, before it became the annual PPV. We talk about the history as to where this match and show originated and the original hook - the contract signing for Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant 2 on February Five. On this week's Lucha Bros, we review the career of the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, one of wrestling's true icons. We talk about Dusty's unbelievable run in Florida, what he did for Jim Crockett Promotions on and off camera, his WWF run, his mid-90s WCW run, and his run working with developmental for WWE. It was a really amazing time as we looked back on the career of Dusty Rhodes. We WERE pressed for time so we unfortunately DID miss a few things such as the Midnight Rider run, the Funk feud, and a bit of the Murdock stuff, but regardless, we got over an hour and a half of great Dusty talk. THE TUMBLER IS BACK! This week's Kayfabulous is part 1 of our two-part review of WCW Halloween Havoc 1998, one of the most historic shows in pro wrestling history for all the wrong reasons. It was supposed to be one of the best shows ever and a show that was supposed to turn the tide of the Monday Night War back in WCW's favor. What it did was anger fans to the point where a majority never came back, specially the following night on Nitro. We actually talk VERY IN DEPTH about the PPV going overtime situation and what actually happened and how costly it was for the company. Then we get into the outstanding first half of the show featuring all the workhorses of WCW and the great build up to many of these matches. As promised, on this edition of Kayfabulous, we review the strangest reboot show in the history of the business - the night after Survivor Series 2001 - WWF Raw is War from 11-19-01 where literally almost the ENTIRE YEAR WAS RETCONNED! We're supposed to forget that Kurt Angle saved the existence of the WWF the night before and that Steve Austin has tried to kill the company for months. There were MANY MANY MANY things that happened on this show that would become staples of WWE history. This show DEBUTED the KISS MY ASS CLUB, Taz gets buried YET AGAIN, the "Kissass" Chris Jericho can't put the Walls on Kane, JERRY LAWLER RETURNS to the booth, Heyman attacks Jim Ross, AND OF COURSE - the WWF RETURN of RIC FLAIR after 12 years! The STRANGEST EPISODE OF RAW EVER?

The Lucha Brothers review the remainder of Survivor Series 2001 covering the FINAL DAY of the Alliance. We talk about Test's strange push and his match with Edge, the VERY strange booking of William Regal vs. Tajiri, ANOTHER Hardys vs. Dudleys match with ridiculously stupid booking, Stephanie McMahon looking delicious in 2001, and of course, the main event, Steve Austin as a fantastic actor in many ways, which went 45 minutes. We break down the main event which, for a match with this many stars and good workers, wasn't THAT great! Find out why on the show! AT LAST the Lucha Bros have FINALLY gotten to reviewing Survivor Series 2001 as we talk about the GRAND FINALE of the Invasion angle - a storyline which many considered the most botched money angle in the history of professional wrestling. Draven and D spend most of this episode breaking down some of the history of the Invasion angle, primarily focusing on the FINAL months of the angle and how literally everything went to the crapper. Plot holes, dropped angles, lack of star power on the WCW, the purchase of ECW and the legal issues, and yes, PAUL HEYMAN's EPIC PROMO to Vince that was EDITED FOR TELEVISION! NEXT WEEK Pt 2.
