Five motivations to obey God even when it is difficult.-Be motivated to obey God...-1. Because God works through Quirky Family-2. Because of Past Family Remembrance of God -v.15, 20, 22-23--3. Because of family's privilege to obey God -v.16-19--4. Because of warning of family members who rebelled against God -v.21, 24, 23-20--5. Because of zeal of other family members -v.25-

Purpose- For this session we will focus only with the two addresses from God towards Judah that summarize the -good news- found in book of Nahum so that we be move to trust in Jesus for saving grace and avoid His wrath.--First address to Judah -v.11-13--Second address to Judah -v.15-

Purpose- For this session we will focus only with the two addresses from God towards Assyria that summarize the -bad news- found in book of Nahum so that we be move to trust in Jesus for saving grace and avoid His wrath.--First address to Assyria -v.9-10--Second address to Assyria -v.14-

Purpose- We need to know God will one day come down to earth to give a global Judgment and still God will graciously save those who trust in Him.--We need to know God has the power to judge with His power over nature -v.3b-5--We need to know God has the power to judge with His power over humans -v.6-8-

Purpose- We need to know God will judge sin because of His attributes, five we will see here in Nahum so that we will repent and trust in Christ to be saved.

Purpose- We will look at the authorship, purpose, structure and other aspects of the book of Nahum so we would be more familiar with this part of the Bible and yearn to study it for ourselves.

Looking at three contents of what we pray for other believers to know- -1. Pray for other believers to know the hope of God's calling -v.18a--2. Pray for other believers to know the wealth of the inheritance-v.18b--3. Pray for other believers to know the greatness of God's power -v.19-

Our parents can hurtfully sin against us -.v1--Beware our marriage can be more sinful than our parents -v.2-5--Beware our parenting can be more sinful than our parents -v.6-10--Beware our love for the youngest child can be more sinful than our parents -v.11--Beware our lack of self-control can be more sinful than our parents -v.12-23--Beware our judgmental attitude can be more sinful than our parents -v.24-26-

To realize that when it comes to our time with God, the excuses we make are not only bad but they are ironic, so that we would be compelled to have our daily time with God.-Excuse 1- I have too much important thing to have my daily devotions with God -v.1-4--Excuse 2- Getting deeper into my faith might mean that others will use the law of God against me -v.5--Excuse 3- My circumstances does not allow me to have the opportunity to have a devotional life and these circumstances can't be changed.

Purpose- Today we shall consider six points in answering the question- If God is sovereign why pray---Point 1- We need to affirm God is sovereign-Point 2- We pray simply because prayer is commanded by God-Point 3- Prayer requests presupposes God's sovereignty-Point 4- The question wrongly assumes prayer is just asking for things-Point 5- Prayer doesn't change God's mind-Point 6- Prayer changes our situation

Purpose- Today we shall three points concerning regularly praying for believers' knowledge of God.--Pray for other believers that God will reveal Himself to them -v.17--Pray for other believers that they can understand knowledge of God -v.18a--Pray for other believers' knowledge of God regularly -v.16b-

Purpose- Today we shall see the purpose of prayer outlined as 3 -A-s so that we would pray purposefully today.--To Ascribe Glory to God-To Associate Relationally with God-To Ask for God's Benefits for us

Main point- We will see three principles that Jesus taught His disciples in regards to how to pray, so that you would know how and this knowledge would make you pray.--I. You should pray seeking God first -v.2c-d--II. You should pray trusting for your daily needs -v.3--III. You should pray dealing with sin -v.4-

Purpose- Today we will explore the teachings in the Bible about justice in contrast to the world's idea of justice of whether or not justice means things must always have equal outcome.--5 Points- -Justice is not an easy topic-Justice is about people receiving what they deserve-Impartiality means equals are to be treated equally-Justice and different outcomes-Danger of unintended outcome with social justice

Today we will explore the teachings in the Bible to see the role of prices in light of supply and demand is reality and also the problem of government intervention with pricing setting.--Two points--The Bible indicates there is Supply and Demand-The Bible does not teach socialism

Purpose- Today we will explore the teachings in the book of Proverbs and how the blueprint for economics God offered is one we call Capitalism.--Capitalism is Biblical since the Bible prohibit these means of acquiring goods and services--- Coercion -violence- -- Fraud-- Monopoly and statist interference---Capitalism is Biblical since the Bible permit these means of acquiring goods and services--- Hard work-- Acquiring wealth over time-- Sales-- Saving ---4 Kinds of People in a biblical economy--- Biblically there are unvirtuous rich people-- Biblically there are virtuous rich people-- Biblically there are virtuous poor people-- Biblically there are unvirtuous poor people
