The first requirement for any good servant of God is that they must humbly recognize that they are serving God because of God's grace. The second requirement for a good servant of God is that they faithfully preach the actual Word of God to the people, and do their best to model the life about which they preach.

Jesus became a man, and increased His stature above perfection by not just obeying the law perfectly, but by sacrificing Himself for mankind. To sacrifice for someone else rather than to place blame on them is the true meaning of the Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12: 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

In Heaven, God will wipe away all tears. Man will not have an emotional deficiency because in Heaven, there is no more death, sorrow, crying or pain, for the former things have passed away. Heaven is a different environment. We will not only be responsible; we will also be in control, as was Jesus.

As grateful as we may be to our fathers for their provision and instruction, we know that we never would have reached the point at which our fathers could help us had it not been for the physical sacrifice of our mothers. Fathers are analogous to the surgeons who perform heart transplants; mothers are analogous to the donors who give the hearts.

There are few problems for which the two opposing solutions are the only solutions available, and often the correct resolution to the problem is to take the positive aspect of each of the opposing solutions into account to develop a third solution that gives each opposing side some satisfaction. This is known as trying to find the happy medium.

You cannot bring abominations to God and expect Him to accept you because you don't want to be embarrassed in front of your peers. Jesus Christ died in front of His disciples and His enemies; He gave His life rather than knuckle under to the peer pressure, and we have to have the same mindset if we want to stay at His wedding.

Jesus Christ is the stone that the builders rejected, who, by not being jealous of His prerogative as the Son of God, but humbly sacrificing Himself on Calvary's Cross rather than saying ]Mine^, has become the chief cornerstone of the worship of God. Through the humility of Jesus Christ, the jealousy of the Jewish religious leadership has been exposed and finally rejected. Through the humility of Jesus Christ, the works of the devil are finally defeated, and the power of God is made manifest in the earth.

Scientific observation and experimentation exist so that men can predict and control nature. When unique events occur that are outside of nature, scientists can not duplicate them or experiment on them, so scientists develop theories to explain these events. These theories have no scientific basis, but fit the belief structure of scientists, which may be prejudiced against the existence of God. Since Jesus' resurrection was a unique historical event, outside of nature, rather than one that can be examined by science, we need to go to the testimony of history, rather than to the prejudices of scientists, to decide whether or not the resurrection actually happened.

Both John the Baptist and Jesus taught that every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire, regardless of their position in the church. So, the question is not; when your Heavenly Father asked you to go into the vineyard, did you tell Him that you would? The question is: when your Heavenly Father asked you to go into the vineyard, did you go?

The devil is here to try to shake our faith, but we should recognize that to believe in Jesus Christ means that we maintain our allegiance to Him regardless of negative circumstances.

Our focus on the riches that we possess and the fact that we see them as ]ours^ has the tendency to change us emotionally into people that judge other people harshly and feel it necessary to evaluate their worthiness to decide whether or not we will help them.

Even those of us that believe in Jesus Christ and know about the Kingdom of Heaven tend to focus on the acquisition of possession rather than increasing the size of the Kingdom of God. As a matter of fact, the purpose of development of the doctrine of ]Name it and Claim it^ is to convince Christians that they can use the power of God to acquire possessions.

The Lord is giving us the task to change our focus from ourselves and our preoccupation with the mundane things of this world, and to focus, rather, on our intellectual preparation for making management decisions in the coming Kingdom of God.

Keeping the physical commandments is the elementary level of Christianity. The more advanced level of Christianity involves developing a Christian attitude, which is an attitude that works and hopes for the repentance of others.

Our mission as a church is to provide an effective argument for the historical reality of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to our community. It is my job to preach and publish presentations that affirm the evidence that Jesus Christ was a real person, and that the Biblical accounts of Jesus' activities are as historically accurate as are the accounts of the lives of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, whose birthdays we celebrated last Monday.

I am not giving you the information about your personal sinfulness to make you feel bad, but to inform you that the way to heaven and pleasing God goes through a completely different route than being protectively defensive about our sinfulness.

None of us are correct about that which we think unless we receive an accurate interpretation of the Scripture from the Holy Spirit Himself. We are never as wrong as when we think that we are right.

If Jesus meant the command to love to apply to any relationship, He meant it for the primary relationship that we have, that being, the relationship that we have with our spouses. A man may choose to give his life for the cause of Christ, but until he does so, he is to live his life for the love of his wife.

God does not rely on a strictly intellectual relationship to cement us together; as the two do not become one simply because of an agreement on paper. Marriage is more than a state of mind; marriage is a mutual act, and the act of marriage is the exercise of our sexuality.

Submission is nothing more than the exercise of faith. Jesus went to the Cross because He had faith in the plan of God, as He said, ]nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will^ and to meant it.
