This podcast will provide listeners with an understanding of Maple Syrup Urine Disease, its clinical signs and symptoms, and management. This podcast was developed by fourth year medical student Angela Messer in collaboration with Dr. Shailly Jain, an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics at the University of Alberta.

This is the second part of a two-part video on approach to prematurity. If you have not already, please check out part one of this podcast that discusses an overview of prematurity. This podcast will be focusing on the initial stabilization of a premature infant, as well as providing the learner with a systems-based approach to managing common short-term complications associated with prematurity. This video and podcast were developed by Jhanahan Sriranjan, a medical student at Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, with the support of Dr. Kristin Inch, a pediatrician at the Special Care Nursery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.
