Mother's Day Message
09/05/2021 Duración: 36minFathers lead. Mothers love. Children obey. There is nothing like the power of a mom! "...and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months." -Exodus 2:2 (NIV) "Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this baby and nurse him for me, and I will pay you.” So the woman took the baby and nursed him." -Exodus 2:9 (NIV) 1.) Mom's are super models. - A mother is constantly modeling on the run way of life. Your kids are watching what you do, what you say, how you act, and what you think! Children will wear your attitudes, your values, and your relationships with others. "By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin." -Hebrews 11:23-25 (NIV) 2.)

Deep Things
02/05/2021 Duración: 40min"But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.” -Exodus 4:13 NIV "From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." -Acts 17:26 NIV Oftentimes, we judge based off our our experience of things. God wants to provide for you an experience that makes you say, "wow!" When Jesus says “follow me,“ we find out firsthand. "When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen." -Luke 19:37 NIV ..."and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick… From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him." -John 6:2, 66 NIV Is there a purpose for your life? Are you finding all the things you're searching for? The christian life is split into two parts - BC & AD. We shared of

Come to Me
25/04/2021 Duración: 40min"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28 (NIV) "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." -Matthew 6:33 (NIV) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me." - Matthew 11:28-29a (NIV) "because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” -Luke 1:78-79 (NIV) Am I full of peace? Am I full of rest? If not, Jesus says, "Come to Me" When we follow Christ, we will find rest. In this passage, Jesus is saying, "if you want peace, put on my yoke." What can "putting on a yoke" do? • One ox can pull 8000 pounds • Two ox bridled together can pull 26,000 pounds What does the representation of a yoke look like in relationship to our christian walk? 1.) A yoke is a learning tool. - Take my yoke

The Requirement of Rest
21/04/2021 Duración: 23minWe believe God created us to live in relationship with others so that we can grow in our faith, receive care in life’s ups and downs, and serve others. Connection is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Life Groups exist—to make these life-changing connections relevant and accessible to you. There are things we learn from Jesus by what he taught, and other things we learn by what he did. We are simply trying to read through some of the scriptures and challenge us to understand the lessons that Jesus’ words and life were teaching. We want to see the big picture in the story. We began this series in chapter 4, speaking on the subject of identity. How the enemy many times gives us a false identity. Last week we hit on importance of healthy relationships. So tonight we are going to read through part of Luke 6. And see what lessons Jesus has for us! For more information, please go to https://riveroflifeag.org/lifegroups.

Say Yes
18/04/2021 Duración: 46minGod often speaks to people or calls them to something that doesn’t make sense. It may scare them to death because its not within their means or resources. God just say follow me and trust me. God spoke to Abraham and drew him out of his comfort zone. When Abraham said yes, he saw God in every aspect of his life and then he began to live life to the fullest. Moses was a murderer on the run in the wilderness. God called him out and began to reveal to him the plans and purpose He had for him. Moses argued with God about his qualifications. He put up a fight, and argued about his ability! When he finally surrendered and said yes, miracles happened. He put his faith in a God who called him and stepped out. "Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God." -Exodus 3:1 NIV 1.) Is there something I know God‘s been asking me to do? 2.) When’s the last time I asked God, “Is there anythi

Wednesdays at 7pm in the main sanctuary at River of Life starting April 7th, 14th, and 21st with Pastors Adam and Amber Haugen. So for these 3 weeks are challenging you to read through Luke chapters 4, 5, and 6. There are things we learn from Jesus by what he taught, and other things we learn by what he did. The Obvious Does Not Obligate God
11/04/2021 Duración: 35minPastor Randy Ruiz is a traveling evangelist who teaches on healing and prayer. This weekend, he joined us at River of Life Church to speak on the biblical truth of who God is and what He can do through the power of His Holy Spirit. We serve a God of patterns. In each of the scriptures below, we see that God PASSES BY. "And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly." -2 Kings 4:9 (NKJ) "They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”- Luke 18:37 (ESV) "Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through." -Luke 19:1 (NIV) "He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them," -Mark 6:48 (NIV) "On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.” -John 7:37 (NIV) There is a Biblical Truth we're experiencing today - the obvious need does not obligate God

Stolen Identity
07/04/2021 Duración: 29minOur identity is one of the main lessons Jesus teaches in Luke 4 and our true, God-given identity starts when we begin our relationship with God. LIFE LESSON 1: Sometimes it is God’s Spirit that leads you into the wilderness. LIFE LESSON 2: If you don’t want your identity stolen by the enemy, you must know the word of God. LIFE LESSON 3: Your purpose comes from God, not peoples’ expectations or opinions.

God's Design
28/03/2021 Duración: 38min"But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command." -1 Samuel 13:14 "One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” -2 Samuel 11:2-5 David fell into temptation because he was in a rooftop and allowed his eyes to linger for too long. He chose lust for a moment and it cost him everything. What is your rooftop? When Joseph faced temptation, he ran! "She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he le

What could you LOSE if you’re NOT patient? God had promised to make Abraham the father of a great nation—and God said He would bless all people through him. God began to fulfill this promise when Abraham had a son named Isaac. When Isaac grew up, he married Rebekah. It seemed that Isaac and Rebekah couldn’t have children, but God kept His promise. Isaac prayed, God answered his prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with TWINS. Rebekah could feel the twin boys struggling inside her, and went to ask God what she should do. The time came for Rebekah to have her babies. Esau was born first; he had a head full of red hair. Then Jacob was born—still holding onto Esau’s heel. Esau loved to roam in the wilderness. Quicksand
21/03/2021 Duración: 45min"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." -Matthew 6:33 NIV Oftentimes, money is a source of conflict in marriage. We focus too much on materialism. In today's message, we are talking all about finances, stewardship, and budgeting. Materialism: I need it, I want it, I have to have it. Stewardship refers to God’s ownership and a human being’s partnership. When we give first place to the Father’s agenda, the Son’s priorities, and causes of God’s church, we invest in things that last forever. We misunderstand money and it’s used when we think it’s all ours, or even as 90% ours and 10% God’s. Today, we are going to challenge you to readjust, reschedule, replan, reprogram so that we put God first. Budgeting can also help couples with financial stress. 10-70-20 Budget 1. Subtract your tithe and taxes from your gross income. 2. Take 10% of what’s left and invest it. 3. Use 70% of the remainder for life expenses. 4. Apply 20% to pay down debt.

17/03/2021 Duración: 20minFor hundreds of years, God’s people lived as slaves in Egypt. They cried out to God, and He rescued them. God parted the waters of the Red Sea. He led them through to freedom in the wilderness. He showed His love and care by providing bread from heaven and water from solid rock. After three months, God led His people to Mount Sinai where they set up camp in the desert at the foot of the mountain. God calls to Moses. God called out to their leader, Moses, from the mountain.
