In today's culture, the word "submit" is a negative word. In our passage today Paul writes "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord" - what did he mean and how does it apply to us today?

What does it mean to WALK a SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE? To walk in the Spirit means that we yield to His control, we follow His lead, and we allow Him to apply His influence over us. How are you doing in that area?

Be careful how you walk. Make the most of your time. Don't be foolish. It is that simple. As they say in the Mandalorian, "THIS IS THE WAY." Walk this way. Walk Worthy.

Come as you. Be changed. Go change the world. Christianity should make a difference. In Christianity, we are made new people. Repentance, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit turn us around. We are set in a new direction, and our lifestyle should reflect that new direction. Does yours?

Ephesians 5:1-2 gives THE CHURCH two commands... Imitate God. Walk in Love.

Ephesians 4:17-32 - Paul lays it out plain and simple. We are not who we used to be - walk in the new life you have been called to. (Father's Day 2023)

Ephesians 4:7-16 - The diversity of gifts and talents being used for the glory of God and the building up of His Church.

At the beginning of chapter 4 a shift takes place in the book of Ephesians. Paul moves from the "Spiritual riches" a believer has in Christ to our "Spiritual response" - He challenges the church to "Walk Worthy" - but that does that mean? Let's look at Ephesians 4:1-6 as we kick off the back half of the book of Ephesians.

We have arrived at the end of our series... MADE WORTHY. Paul is transitioning from "who we are in Christ because of God's glorious riches" (Ephesians 1-3) to "how we live in response." (Ephesians 4-6) We find ourselves diving into Paul's second prayer in this book... the first one was found in chapter 1 - a prayer for Spiritual understanding and enlightenment... his second one, found in our passage today, is for Spiritual Power. Two prayers asking for God to allow us to know Him more and give us the power to apply that knowledge to our daily lives. "We must have God's power to do God's will."

Happy Mother's Day! With Paul revealing the mystery of the Gospel, the natural question for us is "what do we do with it?" As followers of Christ, we are called to the ministry of the mystery - preach the mystery - make Christ and the "multi-faceted" wisdom of God known everywhere by everyone and everything... because we have been given the privilege by Christ, in Christ.

The mystery of the Gospel is not a puzzle that can be solved by human deduction or reason but a amazing gift that can only be known by the life-giving work of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:1-6

Ephesians 2:19-22 - No longer strangers - what does it mean to be the People of God? When we begin to grasp what God says about the Church, then we will also recognize and appreciate the fact we are "no longer strangers"

Through the cross, Christ reconciled us to God and to each other. Ephesians 2:11-18 (there are a few sound issues for the first couple of minutes (out of balance stereo and then the volume quiets down - It is fixed by minute eight)

Last week we looked how we are SAVED BY GRACE... but for what purpose? Ephesians 2:10 tells us "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do." We are created by God, for God, and in God and we are created for the purpose of GOOD WORKS - (by the way... good works do not result IN SALVATION... good works are a result OF SALVATION)

We are saved BY GRACE through faith in the resurrected Jesus! Happy Easter! Ephesians 2:8-9

Ephesians 2:1 - You were dead. VS 4 - BUT GOD.... two of the greatest words in the Bible. Looking at Ephesians 2:1-7. With every "BUT GOD" in the Bible... there is a problem, a solution, and an outcome.

In Ephesians 1:15-23 we find Paul's first pray for the church at Ephesus... a prayer for spiritual understanding (open the eyes of our hearts Lord).
