We are talking about faith, that ingredient that culture derides but God celebrates. In this closing message of the series, we have a candid discussion on the importance of faith, and why it should be the only thing in life that truly matters.

Life is not fair, even though we would love it to be. It becomes particularly difficult when we look to God to level the playing field and by all appearances nothing happens. Life can be viewed through so many different lenses and you can hear a variety of perspectives on the same event, but only one allows us to view the events of life with purpose and hope.

It's bad enough that evil exists. What makes it more confounding is when it appears to prosper. Nothing questions the validity or existence of God more than the appearance of evil winning. In this message we touch on the answer that God gives and the tensions these questions create.

It is one of the questions plaguing humanity. Why does evil exist? Why does humanity, and the entire creation for that matter, suffer under its weight? The problem is not new and it has even challenged the most ardent believer. For those who do not believe, it continues to be an insurmountable barrier. In this message we are introduced to the prophet Habakkuk, who took his questions concerning evil directly to God.

At times life can appear to be no more than a random collection of coincidental occurrences and chance encounters. And yet, every once in a while we catch a glimpse of God’s perfect plan weaving its way through the chaos. Today’s message focuses on one such moment when the uncertainty of life gives way to the master plan of a sovereign God. Acts 16:6-15

Day in and day out when everything in life feels the same and nothing seems exciting we have the tendency to believe that our lives are insignificant. But significance isn’t always achieved with flash and amazement, it comes most often through consistency, perseverance and faith. In today’s message, we are reminded of how ordinary everyday living can have a lasting impact and achieve the extraordinary.

We can become so engrossed in doing something that over time we can forget why we are doing it in the first place. This can be true of our spiritual lives as well. The routines that become part of faith soon lead to spiritual drift and complacency. In this message we learn how a surprise discovery leads to a sudden awareness that a nation has drifted spiritually and the action that a leader takes to divert a crisis.

There are many moments where we can justify a decision to give up. It could be a lack of progress, or a feeling that we’re not making a difference. The reasons are many. But giving up for whatever reason can hinder one important reality: The possibility of how God could have used it. In this message we learn how one seemingly insignificant wish became the catalyst for a significant move of God.

To claim a monopoly on this is one of the fastest ways to start a fight, or at the very least make everyone uncomfortable. As believers we are taught to wield it with humility and love. In this installment we look at an unusual story from the Old Testament where prophets speak before two kings. What they pronounce spells either victory or doom, depending on how these kings discern what they hear.

Fear. It invades our lives at so many levels-personal, cultural, and even spiritual. There are few areas where it doesn’t play a role in the decisions and actions we make. Fear is most dangerous though, when it forces us to make decisions that put us potentially at odds with the culture around us. How do we navigate those moments when we have to choose, knowing that our choices will have ramifications for the future?
