UNC came out on top of a fast paced fun game to watch with FSU and then a more grind it out solid win over Syracuse and their zone in Roy's 800th win as a head coach! A New Year and a new season with the start of ACC play! A lot has happened since the last podcast: UNI & Monmouth games Starting 0-1 with loss to Gtech, Roy's worst? What a game! Even though the Tar Heels came up just short of beating #6 Kentucky, it was still a great game! Very entertaining and exactly what college basketball should be, 2 teams going at each other and big time performances. Unfortunately, UNC did come up one defensive stop short and dropped their second game of the year to a top 10 team. Can they win the big games? How much does Joel Berry really mean to the team? After a couple of ugly wins without Joel Berry II the Tar Heels had a week to get ready for the showdown with the Kentucky Wildcats in Las Vegas! Well, I am trying to move past the game and through the mourning process, I am able to go back out into public so thats good. Ok, maybe it's not that bad, but it certainly feels like it sometimes. You already know our Tar Heels lost in the most devastating way, but I am going to try to go back through it and see why. Was our defense not up to the task? Was their defense too tough? Did we not make enough shots, they just hit some tough ones or did the zebras come into play as well? This is one that will never be forgotten and unfortunately we are on the wrong end of it. We will have to see that shot replayed every year at tournament time, championship time and even more often. Who is starting the support group for us? Hopefully, I make it through this episode and we all need to try to make it through this offseason.
