When you guys last heard from us, we were just thrilled to have beat Chicago with a depleted roster... Who could've thunk that we'd be looking at 5 more wins in a row, despite the injuries and illnesses continuing? In this week's show, we talk about one of the more obscure Blues in team history, but also the amazing Vladimir Tarasenko (the exact opposite of obscure). Listen to us fanboy out to the Tarasenko trilogy that unfolded during this streak. And, of course, the usual tangents and tomfoolery.

As the season rolls along, the Beyond Checkerdome podcast keeps on trucking as well. There's just something about that New Season Smell. The players are flying in, skating in optional sessions, filling in their "My Name Is ____" nametags ... .It's all about to kick off! This week we talk about the fresh ice at Scottrade (aka DrinkScotch), the Traverse City tournament - and some surprise names there, plus the new rules in the upcoming season. Also, some continuing grumpiness (but no panic) over Jaden Schwartz not signing yet, and a new head of the Department of Player Safety.... and a few more odds and ends!

This time around, we talk about Tyler's Lifetime Contract, the shorter ones signed by Robby Fabbri and Colin Fraser, and the one that hasn't been signed by Jaden Schwartz. Now is the summer of our thin content ... It's hard out there for a hockey podcast with no hockey going on. This time around, we're talking about players coming and going, how to be a Blues fan (?), and the Summer of Analytics. The dog days of summer are here, and we talk about some old dogs and young pups in this episode. This time around we are joined by the fine fellows of the Blues Hockey Podcast, Jason Martine and Chris Frank, as we form a sort of Blues Podcast Voltron. We go a little deeper with the history of 47s, Blues free agency so far ( Paul Stastny , YAY / Steve Ott, MEH), as well as the moves from a few other teams around the league. Also, we wax nostalgic about Ken Wilson, Ron Caron, and Willie McGee? What a past couple of days, eh? A fantastic draft, and then a gigantic Day 1 of Free Agency. Of course, as is tradition, we record in the midst of all of this, so we don't have Stastny reactions here. Stay tuned for those. The playoff post-mortem edition is finally here, frankly a lot sooner than we all anticipated a few weeks ago. Here we talk about the losing stretch of playoff games, Tim struggles to keep his games straight, and we weigh in on a few things that happened during and after the Blues postseason. Also, we drink. A Lot.

For the very first time since we've started this little dog and pony show, we were able to record one of these live, face to face. We had a little difficulty at first (pardon the 4-minute stretch of bad audio), but we were finally able to down some suds together and talk a little puck.
