On today's episode of Real in the Field Gulls, Danny and I talk to Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette (PackersNews.com) to preview the Seahawks-Packers game. We find out if Aaron Rodgers is any good, whether or not Bryan Bulaga will miss the game, how the Packers are doing in their receiving corps so far without Jordy Nelson, and more. 

Ok, so we're back with Week 2 of the Deep Balls NFL Picks podcast. Last week, I went 12-4 straight up, and was followed closely by Jacson, who finished 11-5 on his picks. Our suggestions for betting against the spread went 2-1-1. Hopefully we can follow up with another successful week.

The Seahawks lost to the Rams 34-31 in St. Louis on Sunday, going to overtime after St. Louis tight end Lance Kendricks caught a shocking game-tying touchdown in the final minute. Danny and Kenny chat about what it means. 

To talk us through this game is Joe McAtee from Turf Show Times, helping us get a better idea of everything you need to know about St. Louis. Such as their great defensive line, their inexperienced offensive line, their banged up running backs, their QB who hasn't looked very good, an odd collection of skill players, and much more.

Jeff Schaffer co-created The League in 2007 with his wife Jackie and they are just about to premiere their final season on September 9 on FXX. Many of us have already seen the promo clip with Marshawn Lynch arguing with Taco that he should run a beer over to Kevin, but Taco insists on throwing it. Schaffer has also written for Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Clear History, The Dictator, Bruno, and along with writing/directing partners Alec Berg and David Mandel, made the 2004 movie Eurotrip, which also happens to be a personal favorite for me and Danny.

Danny and Kenny talk to Joel Thorman from SB Nation's ultra-popular Chiefs' blog Arrowhead Pride, about who to watch on Kansas City and what to expect on Friday. 

Douglas McNeil III talks to Danny and Kenny about what it's like to play for Pete Carroll and the Seahawks, and how it's looking making a switch ot cornerback from receiver.  

It's another day of Seattle Seahawks training camp -- eight days until the first preseason game against the Denver Broncos -- and joining Danny Kelly and Kenny Arthur for Real in the Field Gulls is Stephen Cohen, the sports editor for the Seattle PI.
