Morning Manna

I've got an assignment for you today. I hope you'll take it and run with it.

How does our world see God? Certainly they see Him through His creation and His Word, but they also see Him through you and I. That's the message of Ephesians 5:1 - Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

I love today's YouVersion verse of the day - Colossians 3:12-13 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;  bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. Think about that as you dress for your day.

Be encouraged this morning by a reading of Psalm 33.

I love the story of Peter walking on the water. Don't take your eyes off Jesus. Fear will sink you.

I love the message of Psalm 4:8 - "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." You and I can rest in peace because our Lord never sleeps.

Today is a new day, every morning we get a fresh start. It may seem like the trials will never end but God is with us and his love and mercy never stop. Yesterday is gone today is a new. Today I pray that we would give God thanks for everyday and know that he will see us through.

These are certainly some scary times that we're living in, but there is no need for children of God to give into fear. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

I love the message of Psalm Psalm 143:8 Cause me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. Experience some morning glory today.

I love Psalm 51 where David comes to God with his confession of the most horrible thing in his life. God invites us today and everyday to come clean with Him. He knows... He loves... He is full of mercy.

In today's episode I share a story about a ride that I had last Friday that inspired me, encouraged me and taught me many things.

Big things really do come in small packages. This is so true when it comes to words. Some of the most important, powerful, life-changing words are some of the smallest words in the English language. One of those words is the tiny word, “but.” Think about how that one word can change an entire life and an entire perspective in a moment.

In today's episode I share a fun story from my teenage years and winning tickets to a Beatles movie called Help. Psalm 46 reminds us that God is our helper. You and I need His help today. Let's press into Him now.

What are you afraid of today? As always but especially today there is horrible wickedness in our world and it can create fear in us. In today's Morning Manna I share from Psalm 37. Listen carefully and prayerfully to it and fret not.

There is so much power in words. May God use you today to bring words of encouragement and blessing to others and may your life be lifted up by God's words to us today.

I love Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." No matter what you're facing today, there is a God who says; "I will take care of that."
