The Holy Spirit wants to enjoy the gift or righteousness, peace and joy, but also to grow in these attributes that mark out citizens of the Kingdom of God.

The Holy Spirit wants to fill us with hope (expectation) that Jesus will build a church community of joy and peace out of people from diverse backgrounds.

The Father comforts us so we can comfort others

The Holy Spirit wants to fill us with God’s love, and so drive out hopelessness and fill us with hope.

Jesus has promised to continue to work in us and through us by the Holy Spirit. So let’s believe His promise and ask to be filled with the Spirit’s presence.

This week, Matt Beaney continues in our Luke series. In The Lord's Prayer, Jesus wants to teach us to pray by using the structure that He gives to us, that, over time, will become natural to us.

If we are to make listening to Jesus is our priority, we must say no to other less important things.

We know that we are distracted from Jesus, rather than busy in His service, when we are regularly assaulted with anger.

To sit at Jesus’ feet requires our developing practices of hearing Him in His Word.

Jesus, again, emphasises the importance of listening to His Word and He uses Mary’s example as a model for us.

Are we balanced in our devotions, and practical service, as God wants us to be?
