Philip is willing to serve, however, he’s chosen because he’s ready - he has proven Spirituality and wisdom.    Main point: Readiness + willingness + opportunity = fruitfulness. If any of these are missing we will be ineffective.

In Luke 24, we see how Jesus takes ordinary, weak people and empowers them to be His witnesses. Meeting the risen Jesus transforms us with resurrection power, so let's make it our 'first day'.
