Grace is the foundation of following Jesus, but it can be a little messy as we learn to walk it out. “Prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.” What would it look like if your prayed before that meeting today or took a moment to pray before starting the day with your family? How would your perspective and interaction with the people you’ll meet be impacted?

Life is busy, and prayer is often times an afterthought. Choose to "pray first" and make prayer a constant priority in your daily life. You'll have a better mindset to start your day or face a situation, and develop a deeper relationship with God.

Choosing to follow Christ doesn’t mean hard things won’t happen. But, when we embrace the difficulty of the journey, He can do good things through our struggles. James 1 says to “consider it pure joy” when we face trials, because it is the endurance through these times that strengthens us.

We heard from missionary Terry Castleberry. Terry, along with his wife and children, have spent many years serving the country of Belize. Hear more about their journey in this message.

God is not surprised by the storms of life. In fact, Jesus tells us in scripture that we will encounter struggles. So how do we survive the difficult times? When we allow God "into our boat" during the storm, He has the power to bring peace and gives us the opportunity to rest in Him throughout whatever hardships we may face.
