25/05/2014 Duración: 36minI AM JESUS--PART 2 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:11, NIV) “I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! (John 10:1, NLT) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10, NLT) FOUR CHALLENGES OF BEING SHEEP: 1) Sheep get LOST easily. 2) Sheep are DEFENSELESS. 3) Sheep are very STUBBORN. 4) Sheep are FILTHY. WHAT DOES THE GOOD SHEPHERD DO? • He GUIDES. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3, NIV); The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. (John 10:3-4, NLT) • He PROVIDES. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pa

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted… (2 Timothy 3:12) If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first…you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. (John 15:18-20) 2. ENDURE it. …When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it. (1 Corinthians 4:12) • When family identity is STRONG, peer pressure is weak. • When family identity is WEAK, peer pressure is strong. 3. EMBRACE it. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not

Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity...” (Eph. 4:18-19)•We are not just a CHRISTIAN family•We are a Christ-CENTERED family“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? 13/04/2014 Duración: 38minMAIN THOUGHT: GOD KNOWS HOW TO HELP YOU FIND WHAT YOU DIDN’T MEAN TO LOSE.HOW HAVE YOU LOST YOUR SPIRITUAL EDGE?HOW DO YOU GET YOUR EDGE BACK?1. BE HONEST ABOUT WHERE YOU LOST IT.“The Man of God asked, ‘Where did it fall?’” (2 Kings 6:6).2. GOD CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU LOST.“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Luke 12:6-7).3. WITH GOD’S HELP, TAKE BACK WHAT YOU LOST.“When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float. ‘Lift it out,’ he said. Tell me, what do you have in your house?’ ‘Your servant has nothing there at all,’ she said, ‘except a small jar of olive oil’” (2 Kings 4:1-2, NIV).MAIN THOUGHT: WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE WHAT YOU REALLY WANT, GOD IS WHAT YOU REALLY NEED. •Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” (v. 2a).WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE MUCH?1.STOP WAITING FOR WHAT YOU WANT AND START WORKING WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.•“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil” (v. 2b).2.OFFER GOD WHAT YOU HAVE AND TRUST HIM TO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED.•“Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars” . . . Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. 20 Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. “Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,” he said, “and then I will come with you.” “Go back,” Elijah replied. “What have I done to you?” 21 So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant. (1 Kings 19:19-21, NIV)TWO PRINCIPLES OF RIDICULOUS COMMITMENT:1.You don’t have to understand FULLY to obey IMMEDIATELY. “Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. “Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,” he said, “and then I will come with you” (1 Kings 19:20).2.Those God uses the MOST are the ones who hold on to the LEAST. “So Elisha left him and went back.
