Shawn Johnson, lead pastor of Red Rocks Church, preaches the Christmas message and reminds us of this: as much bad news as life can bring us (especially after a year like this one), Christmas is about celebrating GOOD NEWS! More than perhaps ever before, we can relate to the participants of the Christmas story on a whole new level, and Shawn walks us through their story from a new perspective. Mary and Joseph were not strangers to interrupted plans, halted work, and chaotic life-changes. And Shawn reminds us that in the middle of our own chaos, pain, or tragedy, we can experience a supernatural joy that comes only from God. Because when Jesus arrived on the scene he brought peace, hope, joy and salvation and that's a reminder we need every year, but especially this one.

As 2020 draws to a close, Ronnie speaks through Psalm 23 and the challenges and hurdles that many of us have experienced over the past year. So often we look to God and ask 'can you get me through this?' 'could you help me make it through that?' and Ronnie challenges us to ask: is God our guide or is He our God?

In the final weekend of our Kingdom Builders series, Shawn highlights some of the amazing things that YOU, Red Rocks Church, have done this year through your generosity! Speaking out of 2 Corinthians and Luke, Shawn reminds us that our generosity is even more powerful when it's partnered with the local church!

In week 3 of Kingdom Builders, Jimmy Rollins (lead pastor of i5 City Church), speaks about the power of HOME; the home-team, the home-field advantage, the home-Church and what it's doing out in the world. There is power in a house, and Jimmy reminds us that Red Rocks Church is a house of miracles. Red Rocks Church's 'house' is now located in homes worldwide, and we each have the opportunity to be the tangible hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

In week 2 of Kingdom Builders, Doug speaks about unexpected generosity and the way that in ministers to our own hearts when we give. Undoubtedly 2020 has handed us fierce trouble and intense pressure, but surprisingly those two things are not specific to 2020. We read about these things in the Bible, and these two elements often push the Church into its finest hour.

In week 1 of Kingdom Builders, guest speaker Craig Groeschel (Lead Pastor of Life.Church, based in Oklahoma) introduces the basics of generosity. While a fear-based model of spending looks like "we consume, we lack, and then we fear," a generosity model looks like "we give, God multiplies, and then our faith grows." Craig breaks down what the "tithe" is and why it's important in our faith journey, and he also shares stories of God's provision over the years in his life and in the life of his home church.

This weekend Shawn reminds us that even in seasons of uncertainty, God has a plan for your life. We were never promised a calling from God that does not include difficulty, and this year has made it clear that we need to persevere through some challenging things. Instead of focusing on others' criticisms, or our own negative thoughts, we need to focus on what God thinks of us and be reminded that He made us on purpose for a purpose. *Mature content: please be aware that this message includes someone's story involving suicide and a violent mental break, so we want to let you know about the content before you push play.

This weekend Doug digs into the questions and doubts we've each had, at one time or another, regarding God. The disciple Thomas gets a bad reputation for his doubting of Jesus' resurrection, but God is a big God who can handle our doubts and our concerns. Just like with Thomas, God meets us in our doubting; He's not put-off or disappointed by it.

This weekend Ronnie talks about 'how it started' and 'how it's going,' and the space between those two realities. It's that blank space, the trials and pitfalls, that can reveal God's presence and nearness to you. Whatever your 'blank space' is, Ronnie reminds us that the most necessary thing in our lives is God's presence; not the loss of a title, a role, or a dream in our season of waiting.

In the final weekend of Kingdom Culture, Shawn preaches an amazing message all about the unnecessary shame that we carry. Many of us don't realize that we carry our shame around wherever we go, and it gets in the way of our lives and our relationship with God. While we look at ourselves through the lens of embarrassment, regret, or shame, God looks at us and He sees his CHILD, who He LOVES!

In week ten of Kingdom Culture, Andrew Matrone speaks to those of us who feel like our expectations do not match our reality; we look around and we don't see the things that we envisioned for ourselves, or the things we've prayed for. In the midst of the frustration and waiting, Andrew reminds us of a few truths: God honors movement. Don't let your season of waiting be a season of wandering. And it is important to continue taking steps towards the things that God has put in your heart, even as you wait.

In week nine of Kingdom Culture, Ronnie speaks about our 'calling.' This can be a stressful topic for many of us, as we sort through our giftings, strengths, and the way we are wired to work. But Ronnie reminds us that our calling is actually to a person, not to a specific profession. So if you've been chasing a career path to pursue your calling, you can rest easy today. The closeness of your relationship with God allows you to walk in your calling every day, regardless of your employment or profession.

In week eight of Kingdom Culture, Doug Wekenman breaks down a well-known Bible story that makes many of us uncomfortable. Through this message Doug reminds us that living as a Christian isn't about religion or about following the rules, it's about a relationship with Jesus. When we reorient our perspective to focus on the person of Jesus, we can anchor our Kingdom Culture on Him, and that is a solid foundation for life.

In week seven of Kingdom Culture, Shawn talks through how we can battle anxiety, depression, and fear with a powerful tool: thankfulness and remembering what God has done in the past. From Psalm 9, Shawn gives a powerful battle cry for each of us as we work through our biggest fears and struggles. Remembering God's victories in the past allows us to place His power in front of our fears, even in the midst of life's most intense storms.

Jimmy Rollins, lead pastor of i5 City Church, brings a powerful message for week 6 of Kingdom Culture! What do we do when the 'hits' in life keep coming and we can't seem to get ahead or move forward through adversity? What can we learn from the women and men in the Bible whose desperation caused them to seek Jesus in a whole new way? Jimmy shares a message that is timely and powerful for anyone who needs some encouragement to get back up and keep fighting.

In week five of Kingdom Culture, Ronnie highlights the things in life that can leave us feeling shaken. At times we find ourselves covering over the pain of our shaken lives with Christian quick-fixes, but at the heart, we are not allowing God to do the restorative work within our souls that will bring us true peace. Ronnie reminds us that the God of the Universe LOVES us, in spite of our flaws, mistakes, or the storms we're facing, and HIS love cannot be shaken.

In week four of Kingdom Culture, Shawn handles the timely question 'what should I do, say, and post within the context of this crazy world we're living in?' Shawn reminds us that there are two cultures right now: Earth 2020 culture - where we each have strong views on politics, racial tensions, the pandemic, and more and we'll fight to be RIGHT on social media about these things, and Kingdom Culture - where our culture is built upon the Kingdom of Heaven and we show LOVE to others regardless of how different they may be from us politically, racially, or otherwise. Our words have power, and in 2020 the way we show LOVE through our differences may be the biggest way we point others to Jesus.

Doug Wekenman brings a powerful message for week three of Kingdom Culture. In his message Doug highlights four things that Christians should say more often: 1) I don't know, 2) I can learn something from that person, 3) It's gonna take more than that to offend me, and 4) I was wrong.

In week two of Kingdom Culture, Ronnie digs into what Kingdom Culture means and how we are led by the Holy Spirit. As we check our motivations and tendencies we can see our beliefs, and as we check the fruit of our lives we can see the ways that we ARE or ARE NOT walking with the Spirit. Ronnie reminds us that when our view of God gets bigger, our burdens and anxieties get smaller.

Shawn kicks off the Kingdom Culture series and reminds us that while the troubles we encounter here are real, we are citizens of Heaven and we are simply passing through Earth on our way to Heaven. This reality can give us strength and purpose through challenging times as we think 'will ___ matter in 100 years?' Shawn reminds us that when we walk and talk with the Kingdom of Heaven in mind, we create Kingdom Culture, and we do this when we 1) pray for it, 2) look for it, and 3) live with it in mind.
