Psalm 91:1-8 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

Psalm 131:1-3 1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. 2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother;  like a weaned child I am content. 3 Israel, put your hope  in the Lord both now and forevermore.

Psalm 119:1-8 1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,     who walk according to the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes     and seek him with all their heart— 3 they do no wrong     but follow his ways. 4 You have laid down precepts     that are to be fully obeyed. 5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast     in obeying your decrees! 6 Then I would not be put to shame     when I consider all your commands. 7 I will praise you with an upright heart     as I learn your righteous laws. 8 I will obey your decrees;     do not utterly forsake me.

Psalm 18:1-5 1 I love you,Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock,my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation,my stronghold. 3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. 4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. 5 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.

Psalm 33:16-22 16 No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. 17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. 18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, 19 to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. 20 We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. 21 In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. 22 May your unfailing love be with us,Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 49:1-11 1 Hear this, all you peoples;     listen, all who live in this world, 2 both low and high,     rich and poor alike: 3 My mouth will speak words of wisdom;     the meditation of my heart will give you understanding. 4 I will turn my ear to a proverb;     with the harp I will expound my riddle: 5 Why should I fear when evil days come,     when wicked deceivers surround me— 6 those who trust in their wealth     and boast of their great riches? 7 No one can redeem the life of another     or give to God a ransom for them— 8 the ransom for a life is costly,     no payment is ever enough— 9 so that they should live on forever     and not see decay. 10 For all can see that the wise die,     that the foolish and the senseless also perish,     leaving their wealth to others. 11 Their tombs will remain their houses forever,     their dwellings for endless generations,     though they had named lands after themselves.  

Psalm 122:1-9 1 I rejoiced with those who said to me,     “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” 2 Our feet are standing     in your gates, Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is built like a city     that is closely compacted together. 4 That is where the tribes go up—     the tribes of the Lord— to praise the name of the Lord     according to the statute given to Israel. 5 There stand the thrones for judgment,     the thrones of the house of David. 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:     “May those who love you be secure. 7 may there be peace within your walls     and security within your citadels." 8 For the sake of my family and friends,     I will say, “Peace be within you.” 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,     I will seek your prosperity.    

  Psalm 23:1-6 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

Psalm 53:1-3 1 The fool says in his heart,     “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;     there is no one who does good. 2 God looks down from heaven     on all mankind to see if there are any who understand,     any who seek God. 3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;     there is no one who does good,     not even one.
