Freedom is a light for which many have suffered in darkness.
30/11/2018 Duración: 47minFrom the book The Sole Balm by Elmon Krupnik The Reason for the Season As we are now in the midst of the Christmas season, my schedule is full of Christmas parties and events. I always enjoy the Christmas decorations, which we usually put out right after Thanksgiving so that we can enjoy them a long time. There is also all of the Christmas shopping to find everyone the “perfect” gift. My wife even had enough courage to go out the day after Thanksgiving this year. However, in all of the excitement and activities, it is easy to lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas. We celebrate Christmas because it is the celebration of Christ’s birth, the best gift of all. God sent His Son as a gift to us, that through His Son’s death and resurrection, we could receive the gift of God’s grace and salvation. Through the price paid by Christ, we are able to experience God’s forgiveness. “God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” When we have experienced the forgiven

There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and humor.
26/11/2018 Duración: 53minFrom the book The Sole Balm by Elmon Krupnik One of the more thought provoking commercials on television that I have viewed in the past is the one where the gentleman is driving backwards in his car to reduce the mileage accumulation. Of course, what he is doing is foolishness. The Bible would say that the man is building a house upon sand. The Sermon on the Mount closes with the parable of the wise and foolish builders. Matthew 7:24-27 states, “Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock; And the rain descended and and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell and great was the fall of it.”

15/11/2018 Duración: 42minPSALM 119:121-128 121 I have done what is righteous and just; do not leave me to my oppressors. 122 Ensure your servant’s well-being; do not let the arrogant oppress me. 123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise. 124 Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees. 125 I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes. 126 It is time for you to act, Lord; your law is being broken. 127 Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold, 128 and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.
13/11/2018 Duración: 44minPSALM 119:113-120 113 I hate double-minded people, but I love your law. 114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. 115 Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God! 116 Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. 117 Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees. 118 You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their delusions come to nothing. 119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes. 120 My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.

"Yet even now," declares the LORD, "Return to Me with all your heart."
13/11/2018 Duración: 47minPSALM 119:105-112 105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. 106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. 107 I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word. 108 Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. 109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law. 110 The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. 111 Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. 112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.

Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
11/11/2018 Duración: 45minPSALM 119:89-96 89 Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. 90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. 91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you. 92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. 93 I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. 94 Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts. 95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes. 96 To all perfection I see a limit, but your commands are boundless.

11/11/2018 Duración: 41minPSALM 119:81-88 81 I long for Your salvation; I put my hope in Your word. 82 My eyes grow weary looking for what You have promised; I ask, “When will You comfort me?” 83 Though I have become like a wineskin dried by smoke, I do not forget Your statutes. 84 How many days must Your servant wait? When will You execute judgment on my persecutors? 85 The arrogant have dug pits for me; they violate Your instruction. 86 All Your commands are true; people persecute me with lies—help me! 87 They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon Your precepts. 88 Give me life in accordance with Your faithful love, and I will obey the decree You have spoken.
