A quiet few weeks at the Gas leave the lads with little to talk about in this week's episode. With the club in crisis mode on the dawn of the new season, Max, Mets and Harley go over how the latest allegations around Joey Barton will affect the playing squad going into the opening game at Mansfield.The atmosphere at the club, the boardroom response, and repercussions on results are all discussed. After talking about the news off the field, the lads turn their attentions to Rovers chances of storming L2 this season, with a strong variety of opinions on the Pirates chances of bouncing straight back up.In addition, the GasCast crew discuss six new signings. Three players in and three players out makes it a busy June for the GasCast crew to recap, and yet all Max, Neno, and Mike want to talk about is the Euros! They put aside their three lions bucket hats and red-and-white facepaint for an hour or so to drop the euphoria of following England and delve waist-deep back into the aftermath of a relegation they'd soon all forget.With Joey Barton ramping up preparations for the 2021/22 campaign, three new additions as well as the aforementioned departures make for interesting conversation. Mike thinks Saunders could be a potential gem, Neno isn't getting carried away after last summer, and Max talks up Aaron Collins.The lads also discuss any further potential outgoings, as well as Barton's "8-9 more" signings that surely will come in July. Mets caught up with Ben from Cod Vlogs to run the rule over ex-Fleetwood pair Sam Finley and Paul Coutts.Ben is upset to see Finley go, describing him as 'a lower league Steven Gerrard'.  A player that can dive his team forward with a nasty streak, Ben thinks he'll be fantastic in League Two.Paul Coutts will bring defensive solidity to the midfield with bags of experience. His leadership on the pitch will be invaluable and is an area Rovers severely lacked last season.Lastly Ben talks about Barton and why he thinks it was the right time for him to leave Fleetwood.Support the show
